I did try disabling all of the plugins, and replacing the theme with a clean version. But those it didn’t seem to help. You may be right that the full clean might be the only option here.

Can you be more specific about that DJDoubleXL189?
I guess the part where I’m confused is how to manually clean the site and not have to redo all the posts and content by hand.

And WPyogi, I realize that cleaning the entire site is the best thing to do here, but I wanted to get the content notifications back online ASAP as my first priority and wanted to know if anyone knew exactly where that issues comes from rather than taking the usual clean slate approach.
