  • Your trick worked! You’re a savior man. Thanks!

Ok so this is a solution that just worked for me and I can confirm that.

    The solution would be simply:

Add this line to the functions.php of your theme ( or of your child theme ):

    add_filter( 'big_image_size_threshold', '__return_false' );

Referred from here. They have a plugin too that I did not test.

I believe you aren’t taking into account the complexity of the theme. Twenty Sixteen is a simple theme with much less files than say themes like Mobius, X, Jupiter, etc. So, in themes which use a lot of external scripts, the search tine is going to increase significantly.

Secondly, generally people require this plugin when they have to look up a term they do not know where in the entire database the term exists.

So, I don’t think the theme is important here. The important is giving people the chance to search everything.

Oh my GOD!!! This plugin had been a life saver for as long as I have known it. I probably wouldn’t have been able to work a single day without it’s search capabilities.

And then i clicked on Update. All Hell broke loose!

I actually had to download 1.8.1 and then 1.8 to make sure that 1.7 doesn’t have the new functionality or way of searching.

This is an honest request to you to bring back the old functionality, otherwise being a programmer myself, I can help you achieve what you are trying to, with the new search function.

It’s terrible. It is slow. Period.

Retain the interface of the new one. This is much better, but bring back the old search.

Thanks for making of making such a crazy and useful plugin.

    Hello,

I have the exact same problem. I have read so much about this plugin that I am disappointed now.

I wish the author saw this an replied.

I will be working on a plugin myself, cause the features I want are no to be seen in any plugin.

I am trying the WP ALL IMPORT PRO though.

Let’s see if it can be done.

    Thanks.
