Well that was blindingly obvious! Thanks for that.
Hero – thanks a lot.
Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Contact Form 7] [Plugin: Contact Form 7] Shortcode not drawing formMuch weirdness going on – eventually on a fresh install it’s working however it won’t work in conjunction with the Contact Details plugin any more. That plugin is very dormant though so I guess the issue will never be fixed. Never mind.
Ignore that, I now have it working! I repeatedly tried saving the settings for the plugin and then trying to auth and it seems to have gone through now.
Still something definitely not right there though.
I have the same problem with this redirect loop, log.txt is empty for me i’m afraid.
I’ve just installed the 3.3 RC3 on my local machine and this issue seems to have been fixed so my guess was that it was an issue with core as my live site still has the same issue.
Anyhow it seems fixed so hopefully the poor ones amongst us afflicted by this will have their headaches over when 3.3 is released!
But if lots of people are creating themes that cause this problem it strikes me it could at least be documented somewhere. My theme does nothing out the ordinary, I’ve even stripped it back to nothing but the index.php and style.css file and somehow it’s still corrupted. The problem seems to happen most on IE (funnily enough) so I can continue to plead with everyone to stop using that for now, but there is definitely an issue here.
Can anyone at least point out how a front-end theme affects the admin section? I can’t see how (or indeed why) the two talk to one another, any pointers as to how they do may start to figure out what this issue is.
I’ve just set the site up on my local machine and reverted everything to default and it seems to be better so it does appear to be theme specific.
I’m running a fully custom theme I created but with a lot of other people complaining about the same issue, does this not warrant some attention inside core? Even if only for someone who actually understands what’s going on to figure out what the issue is that’s causing these themes to cause the issue.
I have this problem too and it’s a nightmare.. Might be something to do with conflicting versions of jQuery? I’m going to submit it as a bug I think as not much seems to be being done about this and a number of people have the same problem.
