Found the log, it attempts to make zip but nothing beyond that

Hi, where does one find the log? I am having issues with a large WP site as well. I have it working on a small site no problem, but it seems to do nothing on a large site with many uploads of images, around 500 mb.

What are the optimal settings for the chunk and time limits for a site this size?

On almost every backup, though it does seem that the plugin picks up after awhile.

It is on a linux server, and the root is in standard public_html of a cpanel type setup.

I would use the zip extension but it bombs out after awhile.

Still you are very snide and do a disservice to OSS software. It puts off less savvy people.

“Your only other option is to start deleting some of your other plugins.” now that is a solution. and saying as a quick search would reveal, is snide, and impolite.

and i did do that search you stated, but it brings up so many irrelevant results.

as i said, leave it to the developer if you cant be more helpful and not snide.

@esmi why would i have read step 4 of the post you linked to? and i am still wondering why you said: “as a quick search of the forums would have revealed.” what would i actually have searched for? i am on the plugin support page, for which i paid a premium for the zip extension. it doesn’t work, and this was the exact same issue with the same resolution, i.e., the 128M max limit is fine and still it doesn’t work, so unless you have a real solution please leave it to the developer
asking my host to increase limit is not a solution

I am having a similar problem with max memory limit of 128M
I get this after it tries to list beyond wp-admin directory:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 4168 bytes) in /<root of site deleted>/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-backup-to-dropbox/Classes/class-file-list.php on line 113
This is with a fresh updated version of the plugin.

Ok, I got it now, thanks for the pointer. It’s a button after uploading, and there are three choices, None, File URL, Attachment Post URL. Clicking File URL allows it to work, and once that is clicked, it seems to default to the one that you have used last. That’s why one user was working and the others were not since attachment is the first default.

Also, I don’t see where you are referring to, the FILE and ATTACHMENT. I am adding in an image using the uploader and those options are not showing.

But how is it that I can log on with one user, and it works perfectly, and then sign out and sign in as a different user and perform the exact same steps, and it doesn’t work?

be careful anyone who is upgrading, this is the first time i have had a problem in upgrading via the auto update in the dashboard

My flashuploader is not working neither in IE7, nor FF3
flash 10.0 r12

edit update:
i tried on a different machine in FF and IE, and with flash 9.0 r45 and the uploader is not there as well. In IE, there is a blank spot next to ‘Choose files to upload’ and a right click on it says, Movie not loaded.

I had installed locally with 2.3, it all worked fine. I then uploaded to my remote server, changed config settings and I had this error come up, then tried the two patches for login and settings, and got blank pages, then put back the old 2.3 settings, and then put ryan’s login page in and now it works fine.
