Sorry, had to switch back to “not resolved”. When I did what you recommended what happened was that the shariff bar disappeared and there was just a text “[shariff]” showing up instead (but at the right position! hey!).

There was probably a misunderstanding (Sorry, English is not my native language).

The overall problem is that the IRP box doesn’t show up when the Shariff box does show up. And then there is the fact, that IRP checks whether an IRP box was inserted manually before inserting an IRP box automatically. So when a box has been inserted manually there isn’t inserted another box automatically. What I was thinking is: Maybe, for whatever reason, when IRP checks for a manually inserted IRP box it sees the Shariff box and takes it for an IRP box. And then doesn’t insert itself. And that could be one reason why it doesn’t show up when Shariff shows up.

As I said, I am not a coder. It’s just an idea that might be helpful or not. I hope it is. I really would like this problem solved.

Intelly WP say they are working on finding a fix. Did they contact you/did you contact them?

edit: Just a thought of a non-coder. When IRP is programmed to not show boxes automatically when they have been inserted manually, probably for whatever reason IRP thinks there is a manually inserted IRP box when it’s just an Shariff Wrapper bar? Maybe have an option to disable “When IRP is manually inserted into the post it won’t insert itself automatically again” or something?

for solving this issue it would be helpful to know in what way CRP does modify the content inside the post. Here’s the relevant Twitter Cards Meta code asking for either the excerpt or the first paragraph of the post. This probably is, where the misunderstanding happens and for some reason the Related Posts at the end of the article are chosen as first paragraph, I guess? Thank you for your help!

Sorry, I can’t read .php, I’m no coder. Is there a way for you to recreate and probably debug this issue? I’m pretty sure Contextual Related Post isn’t the only plugin out there modifying the content inside the post.

Well. . .it kinda works. Step 1) doesn’t do anything but in addition to step 2) the IRP box does show up at the end of the post. Note: Step 2) also works without step 1). However: That’s not where we want this box to be. Do you have any idea?

Well, thanks for this information. I’m pretty sure the developers would have tackled this issue if they’d known it still exists.

I don’t like this granting access thing, too, that’s why I still hope we can solve this without, but it seems to be a pretty usual method among WordPress support forums.

I don’t understand what you mean with “defined the script”. Since the Shariff Wrapper developer was able to replicate the issue I don’t think it has something to do with specific plugin settings?
