What version of WordPress are you running at the moment?

Resolving this as there has been no recent feedback.

I’ve just tested with the code below, and it seems to be working fine in WordPress 5.4. What version of WordPress are you using? Also, can you send me a list of the plugins you have installed, as well as the name of the theme?

You’ll need to contact the theme developer and ask them to add the “category_description” function to the category template — the function allows the theme to use the category description you’ve defined.

I don’t make any database connections, I just use the WordPress-supplied APIs. Check in the API documentation if you need to find where it stores the information, or use the APIs to access the information.
