Yes I think so…that is what the Plugin is made for. Just insert the Widget where you want to show your last posts.

I have the same Issues with the the Bullet Points.
If you want to change the layout of the “read more” you can install the Plugin “Advanced Excerpt” and can change some settings unter Settings–>Exerpt.

you can easily change the h3 to h2 or whatever if you just search and replace it in the editor (Plugins-Editor-Recent Posts with Excerpts)
