The link you suggested seems to be broken. Also, I did try using Javascript functions to “force” the popup to show but to no avail in iOS.

Is this something that Boxzilla is aware of and working to fix (I realize this could be apple’s fault entirely), are there any other workarounds you are aware of that do not depend on the use of shortcodes?

I am having a similar issue. In my case Boxzilla boxes do not work on mobile devices unless I use the shortcode method. If I use the Boxzilla href method then things won’t work on mobile, specifically on iPhones. Is there a way to make the href method work on phones again?
