I have fixed the problem …I deactivated super cache, updated my latest post..went into reading settings changed no. of posts for home page to from 1 to 2,

deactivated google xml sitemaps plugin, then re-activated both super cache and xml plugins..

I dont know which one did the trick but I googled arch1design blog 10 minutes later and the google page showed my blog with the latest blog head line under the title and it now goes to latest post in home page when clicked.. amazingly quick… I still dont know how it google works but I guess it likes my site… lol..

    Thanks for your help

The link is on my web home page (https://www.arch1design.com/ on the top right hand column under
Heroin and cornflakes blog and just below. However like I say they are all linked to specific page and I cannot change to home page until I get home 8hrs later.

In my original post I started that I now link direct to the new page rather than home page. Unfortunately Im in a internet cafe and not using my home computer at the moment so I cannot re-link to the home page on script writer. So I cannot demonstrate.

Yes you are right im not sure what google does perhaps if I did I might be in top 100000 world websites on alexa rankings rather than hovering on 150000 mark. Im in top 20,000 in U.S. but cannot seem to get my world ranking down

Any tips on how I can make that final push and get an higher ranking. You see Ive been online for year now and its getting rather frustrating not being in top 100000.

I know it may help if I spent some money on advertisement but I dont want to go down that line. I limit my costs to hosting fee and domain name (arch1design.com/)

    Thanx in anticipation

Yes I had problems with Go Daddy they took my site offline for 12 hours and transfered me to a new server . They said my word press blog was slowing down there system and told me to use super cache if I was getting a lot of hits from digg etc..

It just seem strange that for 3 months every time I posted a new blog it updated within a day. And the link from my website also goes to the same old home page even though I republish new home page link.

Ive tried to go onto my hosting account at go daddy and got this message:

As part of a continuing effort to provide the highest quality service for our valued customers, your hosting account has been migrated to a new server that will provide you with increased performance and reliability. Please note that it can take up to 24 hours from the time the update was completed for any newly-published content to be visible on your Web site.

My website is running and my forum is running but not wp blog

Has this got anything to do with the above statement and how can I get my blog back running or do i just have to wait?

    I still havn`t found htaccess.

I looked on filezilla but no joy

I read codex and found this….. Some hosts (e.g. Godaddy) may not show or allow you to edit .htaccess if you install WordPress through the Godaddy Hosting Connection installation.

    Are there any other options?

I recently installed rss feed widget.
    Go Daddy is my host
Maybe this had something to do with it.

But how can I get my blog up running again?
Ive searched past posts but haven`t found anything yet.

I`ve switched themes (classic theme) of my blog so there are no errors in default script and the the previous post pics are now near the top of the page on the side bar.

    https://arch1design.com/blog/
However only the latter previous posts are displayed, that is to say not the latest ones. Is this a problem with the widget or WP?

Someone emailed saying they had same problem and it may help if I make sidebar wider.

    Thanx

The wordpress blog is set up on my website with the address https://arch1design.com/blog/ and the address for the homepage is https://www.arch1design.com/.

Its probably simple but can I change the address of the blog to that of the homepage?

but before I do this does anyone know if this will improve my Alexa rankings for my site because im getting higher page views for my blog
than the homepage of my site?

    I hope this makes sense
    thanks
