In reply to: Custom Login Pagethe great Binary Moon is not updated, but the new panel uses only a gif logo above the form. so deactivate BM and for now you can just swap that single gif out, and by the next upgrade someone will sort out a plugin to keep this out of the admin file.

In reply to: Mixing Pages and Catagories in navI found your post trying to solve the same problem, with a one tier nav. You might find this guide useful, Lorelle is using it for footers but the exclude / include idea and tags are the same for main nav.https://lorelle.wordpress.com/2007/09/30/customizing-your-wordpress-theme-footer/
this has to go in your header.php file and it means some tweaking but it can be done. you are basically saying load or don’t load a post or page by ID number. This means you need to make the post and pages, get the ID numbers, (if you have default permalinks set its will give the number when you go the the page, ie
cat=7
orpage_id=4
at the end of the url string. Then use those numbers in Lorelle’s examples.good luck! – kurt

In reply to: [Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Adding a thousend picsyes this works absolutely. I wasn’t clear enough on my end. I am looking for a way to cut down the workflow as adding 100 galleries this way is a different matter than one a day, especially if they have context specific names. I guess I am not clear on if the file structure is the same why does NextGen need to “import” them when in fact they are there and don’t move after being imported.
For instance a way to refresh NextGen so it sees the new uploads?
thanks for you response in case it answers csicars question.

In reply to: [Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Adding a thousend picsI am also looking for a way to have NextGen Gallery recognize FTP uploads. It only seems to see pictures it uploads, I must be missing something. I am looking to use my Aperture to FTP plugin and save some time.
thanks – I LOVE this plugin!
