Thanks for finding this code error. Hopefully it will be included in the next version, so all “Location Attributes” display with EM v5.9.4. I don’t know if this is the best way, but I backed up and used a plugin called: “WP Rollback”. The EM site probably has a link to do this too.
Diona, I know nothing about this, but noticed a dash, where an equal sign might be expected. If you figure this out, I could really use this too!
I’m not sure if this is related, but under EM v5.9.4, my “Location Attributes” (including #_LATT{Latitude} and #_LATT{Longitude}) were not displaying anywhere except in the database. When I rolled the version back to v5.9.2 …is works normally. Thanks for this fabulous plugin!
Alessio,
Not sure if this is similar to what you’re asking. But yes it would be extremely helpful to my website, to be able to differentiate between the parent and child categories by using placeholders.

I’m relatively new to WordPress, so please check carefully what I’m suggesting. As I moved my site from local to hosted, I had similar issues. In my case, I found that all of my tables had lost their auto increment value …and (thankfully) would not accept entries.
Through my cPanel access, I used phpMyAdmin, looked at each tables’ Operations tab. From there I restored the yes check mark to the “Add AUTO_INCREMENT value”. Some tables of course do not use this setting, so I compared them all to my last working version.
My EM installation has this is check marked for: wp_em_tickets and wp_em_tickets_bookings. In fact, all 10 of my wp_em_ tables have this value set to yes. Hope this helps.
Well said Renaat!

?? Hope it’s helpful to others, but must admit that I learned it from someone else.
Yes, what I did was to create a location called: “_Location To Be Determined”. The punctuation causes it to appear first on the list and thus be the default.
Thank you all!
Thank you for inquiring about the idea. I’ll give them another text box for now.
Yes, providing the exact duplicate list pull down, to be able to use it twice in the same event post. Firstly for the main event and secondly as an option for another key location. (Also, paddlers could use it for the put in AND take out locations. Skiers could use it for the slope AND the lodge when they differ.) Thanks for considering this.

I’d be very happy too explain Caimin. Some of our club’s hiking and skiing events require driving more than say 50 miles. In that case, the leader often specifies a local meeting place to carpool from and has to write out addresses and driving directions. For the ultimate event destination, they should use the existing great EM functionality. I already have all of this info in each location. Below are my location attributes:
#_LATT{Latitude}
#_LATT{Longitude}
#_LATT{Parking_Fee}{Unknown|No|Seasonally|Yes}
#_LATT{Restroom_Available}{Unknown|No|Seasonally|Yes}
#_LATT{Web_Page}
#_LATT{Driving_Directions}Currently, users want to choose the address for the initial meeting place (carpooling) location and then I need to correct that. I urge them to describe the carpooling location in the description. If there was an “Alternative Location” pull down for a second purpose, this scenario would be enabled to also utilize the established Location choices.
Any other questions, please don’t hesitate to ask. And again I do not assume that you can afford the time to add additional functionality to this already awesome, free plugin. Many thanks for your patient support.

The EM Location functionality is super awesome and we have entered over 200 and not finished yet. If it is possible to present that pull down list for another field, it would be really great! In my case, in addition to the actual event location …some leaders offer carpooling from one of the local locations. I realize that this is probably asking too much, but thanks for maintaining this friendly and helpful support forum.
