I can confirm that this modification does fix the issue I was having with the WP post editor not loading, when this plugin is activated. Please consider updating your plugin with this change.

So, what are you saying? Are we all liars? Why would we lie and complain about the customizer being broken, if it wasn’t actually broken on our sites? I posted the screenshot of what I am seeing, on Github. Do you think that’s an edited screenshot designed to make you look bad? I have better things to do with my time than to play games with you.

Nevermind, I’ll just get used to the new theme I installed because I thought you abandoned this one. You can go back to not fixing your broken theme.

Thank you for updating your plugin and turning dark mode off. You have no idea how much I appreciate that.

Your dark mode is bad for me on my setup. It makes things hard for me to read. Lots of dark text on dark backgrounds or light text on light backgrounds. You can’t support every plugin on the planet with your theme, and that is only part of the problem.

Your darkness made it take twice as long, yesterday, to set up a new site on my network. Not only did I have delays between every page, waiting while your dark mode loaded, I had delays because I couldn’t quickly find things, because of a lack of good contrast. I also couldn’t read some text without selecting everything on the page, to allow my system to provide the better contrast between text and background.

If you really like dark mode so much, my best suggestion would be to make it a separate plugin. That way us older, more practical people don’t have to suffer with it, and all you young people that love to live in darkness can have all you want. You could even make it with multiple themes, purple mode, green mode, pink mode, etc.

Meanwhile, people like me can continue to have our boring, old fashioned “plain mode” because it will be in a separate plugin, which we won’t install.

In other words, your “auto set first image as featured” plugin might not be the best place for everything plus the kitchen sink, especially when people install it because they only want the features it claims to do in its name, “auto set first image as featured”. One wouldn’t expect a plugin named that to change your entire WordPress Admin to a dark mode theme.

With how much you are putting into it, perhaps you should change the name to “Kitchen Sink”. ??

You already have this option and have had it for a long time. When you set up a job and have to authenticate dropbox for it, there are 2 buttons to choose from. The first one, the sandbox option, that’s exactly what you described…it gives access to only a folder for the app. If that’s what you want, then use that button and not the 2nd one, which gives it access to your entire dropbox.

Did you know you can exclude that error log from backup when you set up a job? There is a box to enter it into.

FYI: The problem isn’t the plugin, it’s in how the server you have your site hosted on is configured. That is what is causing all the issues.

I have used this plugin on both large and small sites, and on some servers, large sites upload just fine, and on others they don’t.

I have even had issues on some servers with small sites, where the site needed to be split up as suggested in the FAQ to keep the backup file sizes under 5mb.

You need to find out what the upload limitations are for the server that is hosting your site and then figure out a way to split it up to stay under that size limit.

There is no way for any of us to know what the limits are on your server. That’s something you’d have to ask your web host.

Some hosts limit the file size that can be uploaded from their user’s accounts. This causes the upload to get cut off before the whole file can be transferred to dropbox.

Try splitting the backup as suggested in the FAQ under “Backup jobs are running forever!”

It will make smaller sized backups which are less likely to have issues getting cut off while being uploaded to dropbox.

You have to create some custom menus first before the navigation menu options show up, allowing you to assign the menus to the 2 navigation areas. I forgot to do this.
