Thank you so much for responding. yes, I’ve seen the plugs you mention but they’re not what I’m looking for. I just want an archive with the post feature images. The feature images are book covers. So it’s a visual archive with images (that if clicked will take you to the post) rather than a text-based archive that include a list of postings. Here’s the website apollofletshqip.com

thanks so much for looking into this. It did work but it did more than what I was looking for. It removed the whole line “by… published… updated…” and I only wanted to remove ‘updated’ . Can you please take another look at it? Thank you so much!

yes, I scale them down to theme’s image dimensions but it doesn’t change a thing. They still look cropped although they would have been scaled down.

If you don’t mind can you please take a look at the front page of apollofletshqip.com and see how the book covers (with a single instance that I can’t seem to understand in order to replicate) look all cropped?

Thanks for responding. The new archive would ideally would look like a ibooks shelf or like a windows explorer folder that shows icons. If you click on them it’s going to take you to the post. I want this to include not just my latest posts but all of them. Thanks again.

I tried it and ended up trashing this new static page for several reasons:
1- it looked as it needed a name. I used home (tried different as well) and then the website showed two home pages (even if I linked the static page to the new home page)

2- the three posts even when they showed just the excerpts also showed the social media buttons under excerpts and I don’t like this.

I did find a solution in case anyone else looks for the same issue. the answer is – use a pluggin. The one I used is called Annual Archive and it worked perfectly.

and sorry to bother you again: but now, on the left sidebar, above ‘register’ button is showing another ‘previous post’ think. Do you know how to deactivate that as well? Thanks a lot!

Your first assumption is right. I want a full length post shown in home page and replaced anytime a new post gets posted. Did you say this is not possible? Can i fool the design by adding exact number of post character to the max number of excerpt characters? Thanks.
