I did go through the help. I followed setting up the checkbox in the form screen and input the generated tag as follows:
[checkbox* How-did-you-hear-about-us use_label_element “Google Search” “Referral” “Other”]
I then added the words to this text line as per your recommendation to someone else who needed a text field after one of their checkboxes. So that the Form tag now reads:
[checkbox* Type_object free_text How-did-you-hear-about-us use_label_element “Google Search” “Referral” “Other”]
I copied the suggested mail tag when I created the Form tag and put this in the mail section.
[How-did-you-hear-about-us]
When testing, the answer to this question does not show up in the message. It just displays [how-did-you-hear-about-us].
