Okay, well, apparently that was a false positive. I put the new css in the child theme folder (the one with the style.css) and what I saw was basically the plugin without *any* css formatting. I get the same results if I specify “test” as the custom css file.
So where exactly is this custom css file supposed to go?
(Also tried in the parent theme’s main directory.)
Okay, will try that… any thoughts on the vertical pagination numbers (see above)?
Okay, soooo close!
I tried your css code and it worked great… however, the pagination at the bottom is vertical:
1
2
>>Also, I can’t get it to appear in block format now.
Otherwise, great! (Really, I’d be happy if I could just fix the pagination numbers and make them go horizontal again – block format would be a bonus.)
Thanks,
AdamHey, that’s great, thanks! I’ll give it a try.
I am having another issue, though… and maybe it’s related. When I show the thumbnails in block format, sometimes the blocks appear out of position – that is, they might appear like this:
IMAGE—–IMAGE
IMAGE
—–IMAGE…instead of like this:
IMAGE—–IMAGE
IMAGE—–IMAGEI thought maybe the theme I was using had exceptionally narrow columns. I have tried several themes, though, and it happens in all of them.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
AdamYup, that did indeed fix the sizing issue.
Now, is there an easy way to keep the picture from centering on the text (so the thumbnails all appear in alignment with each other)?
(The shorter titles cause alignment issues since the images center on the text.)
Well, it’s interesting… under a certain width threshold (~250), the thumbnail gets cropped to a square. Right now I have them at 270×160 and they’re in the proper dimensions. Any idea what’s going on here?
BTW, they only look good in block format; in list format they’re too narrow for the width and they center on the text, so look all staggered.
