In reply to: [BuddyPress Links] Why do some YouTube videos embed and not others?Doesn’t work:
https://youtu.be/M1q6b9JI2Wc
https://youtu.be/LNzYlP58VYs
https://youtu.be/ctJJrBw7e-cThis one worked last night but doesn’t today:
https://youtu.be/J947DhD7kHc…and actually no videos seem to work now.
(If it matters, I’m currently running a brand new install hosted by WPengine.) I got one video to embed last night, and then none.
BTW, might be a good idea to have some kind of indicator that it’s loading when you do a Fetch operation – it actually looks like nothing’s happening for a while, until the thumbnail appears. I’m afraid people will click away prematurely.
Thanks,

In reply to: [BuddyPress Links] Users edit own links?Nevermind – found it (Admin). You just can’t do it from the list.

In reply to: [BuddyPress Links] Where does the category description appear?Anyway, how would you add disclaimer text of some kind in the category/url section when adding?
BTW, I will definitely be going pro if I can work this out, because I do require Vimeo.

Anyone else having this problem?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [BuddyPress Group Tinychat] FB/Twitter removalActually, the paid version bypasses the facebook/twitter login and automatically uses the usernames for group chat.
Also, how can I change the size of the font in the block titles?
Another way to deal with it would be to have it automatically cut off the caption at, say, 25 characters. Can you think of a way to do that? (Ideally, with a “…” at the end.)
Hi Jose-
I have tried increasing the bottom margin but I still get the problem with misplaced blocks (as described above).
I have found that it definitely is text-related. I can replicate the issue with a single post with a long title. This pushes the post beneath it to the right. Then, when I reduce the length of the title, one character at a time, eventually the problem gets corrected.
Can you tell me exactly what css to change?
Thanks!

In reply to: [BuddyPress Groupblog] Blog not inheriting group permissionsActually, it occurs to me that maybe it’s not supposed to inherit group privacy permissions, but rather group member roles.
Is that right?

In reply to: [BuddyDrive] Only for groups?Okay, got it!
Group Admin clicks Group Name -> Admin -> BuddyDrive -> Activate BuddyDrive.
Yeesh! (I’ll have to add some help text to the site for that one.)

In reply to: [BuddyDrive] Only for groups?Hi – I’m sorry … I feel dense here. Reading through this, it appears the issue has been resolved… but I am getting “No group available for BuddyDrive”.
How exactly do I make a user’s group appear in that dropdown? Very puzzled!
Thanks in advance!
AdamThanks, now I have things exactly as I want them!
Ah-HA!
The problem was that I had kept the .css extension when I named the css file. It works if you lose the extension.Hi –
I’m actually using the widget and specified the custom css file as nlp-alignleft.css.(Should nlp-alignleft.css go in the child theme folder? Or should it actually be in the parent theme folder? Or maybe in the plugin folder? I’ve tried all three, and correctly indicated the css file in the widget… so I have no clue what’s going on here.)
