Yes, it’s a folder permission issue. Please make sure that the Complianz plugin folders are accessible and that no security/firewall plugins are preventing accessibility.

Thanks for reaching out, and my apologies for the delayed response as we’re currently handling a backlog of tickets.

I checked your site and noticed that the cookie are being placed prior consent because the Google Tag Manager container isn’t fully configured, specifically missing triggers for each tag. Please refer to Point 3 of this guide to see how to properly implement the triggers: https://complianz.io/definitive-guide-to-tag-manager-and-complianz/.
Once the triggers are set up, cookies will only be placed after consent.

I checked your site, and it seems that Complianz is no longer installed. In cases like this, a specific cookie may be pushed by another plugin or possibly by the theme if it has tracking capabilities. Unfortunately, I’m unable to continue troubleshooting without being able to investigate further.

I tested the plugin across various versions of WordPress and PHP, and the only time I encountered issues was when trying to activate it on PHP versions beyond 8.0. Otherwise, it worked without issues. Please note that this fix is over three years old, so it may not be compatible with some setups. Could you please share the error log and let me know your PHP version?

After reviewing the video, it seems possible that your profile may not have sufficient permissions to view all plugins, which could be causing an incomplete configuration of Complianz and Site Kit. Please see this screenshot(taken from the video), Google Site Kit doesn’t appear in your list of plugins integrations, but Complianz has recognized and activated it, as indicated by the mostly hidden statistics configuration section. Additionally, GSK is missing from the top left of the breadcrumb menu(where are all the plugins), where it typically shows up when enabled. This suggests there may be a permissions issue. Could you please verify this?

I’m sorry to hear about the trouble, and I apologize for the delayed response, as we’re currently managing a backlog of tickets. Regarding the issue on Brave, I tested a fresh install of Brave on one of our test sites with several YouTube videos, and I couldn’t replicate the issue. The videos loaded every time. This might be related to how the video is embedded and loaded through the theme or widget you’re using.

If you decide to give Complianz another try, I’d be happy to help troubleshoot this issue with you.

Thanks for pointing that out. After further checking in the browser inspector, it appears that Contact Form 7 is indeed setting the _gcl_au cookie (please see this screenshot). Could you try blocking this in the Script Center as well, and let me know if that resolves the issue?
