The issue you described above is not supposed to happen also, there is no such issue that we received from Ninja Table users earlier. I think this is a site-specific issue as it may happen due to other plugins conflict. So, we need to debug the issue from the website admin panel.

However, it is possible with a PHP snippet and it will automatically create a Serial number column at the very first column of the table.

However, sorting the table rows either in ascending or descending way is possible. You just need to go Table Design-> Other-> Select Sorting Method, from here it is possible to sort the table rows based on a column. See here

Actually, most of the users want instant search while writing something in the search box. We always give priority to what most of the users preferred. So, If we extend the search delay time it will not be satisfactory for most of the ninja table users.

Actually, we are intended to use jQuery otherwise the plugin can’t run and we have not any intention to remove jQuery dependency at all.

It seems a compatibility issue with any of the installed plugins so we need access to the dashboard to debug the issue or you can check this by deactivating the installed plugins one by one and see which plugin is restricting to render the table shortcode.

Line Break will not work if you configure the column data type as Textarea. You had better use the column data type as HTML so when you will hit Enter it will automatically take a line break.
