    Thanks. I’m waiting to hear back from the theme’s developers, but as it doesn’t appear to be a problem with the theme itself I’m not holding my breath. I tried deactivating all plugins and switching to the default theme, and it didn’t help.

    I’ll have to look into the last two options, but if I reset the plugins, will won’t that wipe out all of my settings for all of my plugins? And if I re-upload files/folders and do a fresh download of wordpress, won’t that basically wipe my site? If I don’t have to build the whole thing from scratch again, that would obviously be preferable.

    It has been months and I haven’t gotten a response. Can anyone please help me?

    And now it seems to have fixed itself, guess it was just a temporary glitch!

    Thanks for the response.

    I tried that, and with saving at absolutely every step I now see the product variation box on my page. HOWEVER, the variations aren’t visible! In the little box it just says, ‘choose an option’ (translated from Italian), but it doesn’t have any of my variations in the dropdown even though I’m pretty sure I did everything right (they show up in the attributes tab and variations tab).

    Is this some crazy bug in WP or am I doing something wrong?

    yes, I checked the box (and unchecked the other) in attributes before saving.

    More information:

    Using feed validator (for https://logcabincooking.com/feed/), I get the following message:

    It looks like this is a web page, not a feed. I looked for a feed associated with this page, but couldn’t find one. Please enter the address of your feed to validate.

    It apparently has issue with the second line, <html lang=”en-US”>, which doesn’t make sense because what could be wrong with that, and it had a problem with a plugin, which I deactivated. Now it has something else highlighted:

    <link rel=”alternate” type=”application/rss+xml” title=”Log Cabin Cooking ? Feed” href=”https://logcabincooking.com/feed/&#8221; />

    And I haven’t a clue what is wrong with it, or how to fix it.

    Can anyone help?

    UPDATE:
    I deactivated all of my plugins and that fixed the feed validator issue. However, when clicking on the RSS icon on my site, I still get an error, but it is a different one this time,

    The page isn’t redirecting properly
    Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

    Thanks. It didn’t change anything, though! Do I need to reload all of my images?

    I figured it out!

    I have set up a page to screw around with so I don’t mess up my original one: https://logcabincooking.com/classes/testing-class/

    How it is now, the button works, but if I move the button to take away the gap it just links to the front page of PayPal and nothing more. I’ve tried putting in

    style=”margin:0; padding:0;”

    in the HTML, but it doesn’t do anything to shift it up.

    Oh, and I tried activating my parent theme, and it didn’t help. I am a wordpress beginner, and so I am going to need to be walked through this in babysteps, I think. Thanks!

    Thanks! I’ve figured it out for the most part now.

    I think part of the issue is that the ‘more’ tag wasn’t working…I’d put it in, and the whole post would still show up. I tried it again today, and it worked. I guess there was a temporary glitch in the system or something. But now I’ve figured out how to work with child themes, so I guess it worked out for the best.

    I like how you write your tutorials, Digital Raindrops. The step by step nature of them is really helpful for someone like me! I have done a lot mathematical programming, but anything to do with web design is new to me, so I appreciate the help.

    Sorry, but I need more help. I created a file in notepad and saved it as style.css, following the instructions on the link you gave me. This is exactly what I put in that file:

    /*
    Theme Name:     Twenty Eleven Child
    Theme URI:      https://logcabincooking.com
    Description: Child theme for the Twenty Eleven theme
    Author:         Annie
    Author URI:     https://logcabincooking.com
    Template:       twentyeleven
    Version:        0.1.0
    */

    @import url("../twentyeleven/style.css");

    #site-title a {
        color: #009900;
    }

    I uploaded that file into a child theme directory I created in cPanel. Now all I have is a directory with a notepad file in it. I previewed the theme from my wordpress dashboard—> themes, but not everything shows up. No sidebar, for example. Apparently not everything is copied over, and I don’t know how to fix this.

    Also, how would I go about editing things in a child theme? If I go in through cPanel, all there is to edit is that short style sheet. Or, when you guys talk about editing things in the theme is this done from within the wordpress dashboard, or is it done through cPanel? I know that is a basic question, but I seriously have no idea.

    Thanks.

    Thanks.

    So, this is going to sound stupid, but how do I create a directory? I’m logged into cPanel, but haven’t a clue as to what to do next. Do I go under ‘file manager’ and create a new file?

    Anyhow, lets assume I figure out how to create a new directory. What then?
