In reply to: [MC4WP: Mailchimp for WordPress] Custom third-party formsDon’t do what I did. When you install a WPForms subscribe button make sure you have subscribed to a source for collecting your subscribers data. Unfortunately, I learned that lesson the hard way. There are a lot of choices out there for email services. I went with Constant Contact. If you go with them, ask for Dallas and he will hook you and I up with a discount.

In reply to: Starting OverI got it from the plug-in, Elementor.

In reply to: Starting Overcan I have a separate template for posts and another one for pages?
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Starting OverSo if I choose option 2 – a static page, then “Head Out On The Highway” can be my home page and “What’s New” can be my blog/posts page.
If I do that, when people come to my site they will see “Head Out On The Highway” and my most recent posts will appear in the right column. Correct?
My followers will get an email of my latest post correct? And if the email is only a brief part of the post and they have to click read more or the rest of the story, does that link them to the homepage “Head Out On The Highway” or does it link they to the whole post?
What would happen if I removed Elementor from the site and plugged it back in later? Would I loose all the formatting I did on existing pages?

In reply to: Starting OverIn the Settings tab under Reading, the first item is: Your Home Page Displays .. that should be your latest posts, correct?
How do I set the About Us, Disclaimer, and Privacy Policy to be just (I think the right word is) static pages – not part of the blog posts?
Can I change a page I have already set up to a post, or is it better to re-write it?

In reply to: Starting OverI recently discovered there is a difference between a post and a page. When I log into my account using the URL you told me to use, which by the way worked perfectly, I get to a Dashboard heading: Elementor Overview. It has a button that says create new page. Is that really what it says – a new page, not a post – and isn’t a post what I want to create for my blog?

In reply to: Starting OverAnswer: because I thought I have messed it up so badly it’s beyond repair.
1st off: I can’t even get into my website. Message I get is I don’t have any WordPress sites.
2nd: when I was getting in, I couldn’t use Elementor.

In reply to: Site not Recognized and Posts not PostingI am beyond frustration and just want a do over. JNash Hawkins I think jokingly referred to this, but seriously, I want to take down my entire site and start from scratch. I want to keep my same URL. I have ordered some WordPress and Elementor books for dummies. Everything is so hosed up on my page, a reset option would be nice. I hate loosing all the work I put into it, but ……

In reply to: Site not Recognized and Posts not PostingIs it possible for you to enable me to get back into my site again? When I try to get in through WordPress I get the message telling me I don’t have a site. https://discoveramericathebeautiful.com. I may just trash the whole thing and start over again, but I have already paid for 3 years of WordPress.

In reply to: Site not Recognized and Posts not Postingby the way Lisa, I tried contacting Elementor. They only want to chat with me if I upgrade to a Pro account. Now why would I want to do that if I can’t get a basic account to work?
