In reply to: Blocking an IP spamming commentsGo to your settings, and to Akismet settings. Then scroll until you find blacklists, there should be an IP blacklist or email blacklist.
Hope this helps!BDog, don’t just mark them as spam, because if you don’t permanently delete the comments, Google and other browsers can still read them, giving that site more hits and a connection with you possibly.
Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Cloud Sites WP Scanner] Forbidden. Is this in a plugin?
If so, log in to web hosting’s backend, not the dashboard, and find your plugin. Delete everything in the main plugin file from<?php
to?>
.
If it is not a plugin, what did you do exactly? And can you not access the dashboard, or is the problem only affecting the pages themselves, when viewed frontend?
Hope this helps, I will watch this thread and help as well as I can.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Adding page title to blog page – Twenty Ten themeDoes the page display a title by default?
If not, try going to the Blog page in Dashboard and adding:
<h1>Blog</h1>
before any other content.
But, you may need to go into the template for blog page and edit php.
Hope this helps!Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: fatal error, I can't log inGo into your web hosting files; find
wp-content
, then inside this go toplugins
. Find the plugin’s folder, open it, and findplugin-name.php
with “plugin-name” being the name of your plugin, usually same as folder name. Now, edit the file! Delete EVERYTHING from<?php
to?>
This should cause a problem in WordPress backend for the plugin which will deactivate the plugin and make it disappear.
Hope this helps!
