Shane – I simply want to REMOVE it without re-organising my whole website – why would this be so difficult? I’ve never heard of such problems with wordpress.

How can I deactive / remove / delete this blog in the dashboard??

Now I’ve got another problem.

I decided to create my blog in the subdomain after all, and so I reverted the settings in Settings > reading BACK TO THEY WERE BEFORE (ie Front Page – Home, Posts page – none), and saved the change. Sure enough, my Blog page returned to normal with my own articles on it.

Today, I got an email saying that there is one comment awaiting moderation. When clicked on the link, it took me to my website with the Blog page looking like a blog, with a test comment from WordPress – the blog page which I DID CANCEL YESTERDAY! When I clicked on the link to the comment (in the same email), I saw it in my dashboard under comments (it was spam which I deleted).

I rang my host who said there is nothing they can help me with as this is the content of my site, not a server issue.

My questions are:
– how and why did WordPress RETAIN the blog (post) AFTER I cancelled it?
– how could someone have actually found it on the internet, and post a comment, if I cannot see it anywhere on my website???
– how can I REMOVE it?

This is something weird which I’m not happy with – the system creating content on my website that I cannot see , nor have saved it.

please advise!

I will check the plugins. I use Online Marketer theme which I like and spent a lot of time customising it, and so will not switch to another theme.

if plugins don’t solve the problem and no other fixes are found, I will create my blog in a subdomain.

sorry – I have only configured the front page to be static, which made all my pages looking like a static website (ie no posts or comments). The site is WordPress what it is. ??

It pushed the site title a little to the right (the subtitle (tag) didn’t move). but the logo was still not visible.

If you consider the site title and subtitle tag as one “object”, I would like to insert my logo to the left. The logo is approximately the same height as the “object”.

well…I’ve got the image code (with the url in the image library), but when I insert it as you suggest, all it does it pushes the title to the left (removes left margin) and still the image is not visible.

I think the best thing for me to do is to finish the website and launch it live without the logo so that you can actually see it.

I shall do that tomorrow, and repost my url to the live site.

Correct. That is why I am asking for help on this forum – which I believe it is for?…..

I have seen people pasting theme codes here (or via pastebin) into which the required code changes / new codes are being inserted (in different colour) by those who are willing to help.

My knowledge of WP and html is miniscule…

I’m using the Online Marketer theme.

Initially, I thought about inserting the full logo (graphics and text) using the Theme Plugin. However, it doesn’t work well (I must be doing something wrong), and also I’m having problems with saving the background colour of my logo (which needs to match the background colour of the site) in jpg.

so, a straight insert of the graphic would do (it’s a 3D geometrical shape with an outline only, no shape colour) if we could somehow match the site colour….

my question was about TM (which is trademark pending, as opposed to registered), and I found the answer.

however, I will use your tip to change TM to R once my trademark is registered.

could you also tell me how to insert a logo (jpg) before the site title/tagline? (I posted a separate question about it).
