The host sorted it out. Seems like there was something wrong with a caching plugin.

Thanks for your reply. Though I’m afraid I’ll need some more directions. How do you create the “settings page” you’re talking about? Where do I put this code:

$custom_taxonomies_array =
get_object_taxonomies('custom_post_slug');

I’ve added the other code to my functions.php as the theme won’t change that soon. But I guess that won’t work if I don’t have the previous code somewhere in my site.

The plugin to remove the taxonomy name added this to .htaccess:

RewriteRule ^wp-types-group/(.+)/$ /$1 [R=301,L]
RewriteRule ^{taxonomy-name}/(.+)/$ /$1 [R=301,L]

Doesn’t seem to work either.

I think I cheered too soon… The archive pages still have the custom taxonomy name before the term.
If I click a post the taxonomy name is gone though. Any ideas?

I registered the cpt with the Types plugin. I know there are some options to (un)check, but I can’t figure out what I really need.

These are the settings I have: settings custom type | settings custom taxonomy

What settings do I need for the permalink structure?
I have www.example.com/%postname%/

Ok thanks, so it’s perfectly possible this plugin blocked my IP?
If I add my IP, all should work fine… I’ll try and see what is causing this then.
