In reply to: [Bj?rk] Can the two columns scroll seperately?Hi @freezhao,
Thank you! Since the sidebar is sticky, browsers won’t show the overflowing elements until you reach the bottom of the wrapping container. You can disable the sticky behavior on the sidebar so it stays in place when you scroll by going to Appearance → Editor, selecting the sidebar column, locating the “Position” dropdown in the right sidebar, and deselecting the “Sticky” option.

In reply to: [Norrsken] No search results found@manyoyo I steered you wrong in the first question. If you go to Appearance → Editor → Patterns → General, check if you can reset the “loop” template part. If you can, doing so will add the “No Results” text to the search page.

In reply to: [Baskerville] Larger Logo and title in the site identity bar ?Hi @hewpr1,
Baskerville only supports showing either the logo or the site title – not both, unfortunately. I believe Baskerville 2 (the WordPress.com version) supports showing both at the same time.
You’ll need to add some custom CSS to make the logo bigger than it’s shown by default.

In reply to: [Hamilton] Width of gallery blockHey @micdt,
If you’re using the new block editor, you should be able to set the Gallery block to be wider by setting it to the “Wide” alignment.

In reply to: [Norrsken] No search results found@manyoyo Hmm. If you go to Appearance → Editor → Templates and click the Search Results template, do you see the No Results block in the editor?

In reply to: [Norrsken] No search results foundHey @manyoyo,
Thanks for posting this thread – I forgot to post here when I released the update you mention. If you’ve made changes to the Search Results template in the Site Editor, you’ll need to reset the template for the change in the 1.0.7 update to take effect.
- Go to Appearance → Editor.
- Click Templates in the lefthand sidebar.
- Locate “Search Results” in the grid, click the three dots, and then the reset link.
If you haven’t made any changes to the Search Results template, you might need to empty the cache on your site. You can see on the demo site how the new no results message should look.

Glad you like ’em! You can change the number of posts on archive pages in Settings → Reading when you’re logged in to the administration panel.

In reply to: [Vermeer] Footer credit linkHey @adamkheckler! That was totally an oversight on my part, so thanks for changing it and for making me aware of it!
I’ve released version 1.0.5 of the theme now, with an updated footer link ??

In reply to: [Beaumont] Editing group, row or column leads to errorHey @franz00! I’m glad you like it.
Beaumont doesn’t interact directly with the editor functionality, so it’s unlikely the bug is directly connected to the theme. My best guess is that it’s either a bug in Gutenberg or (more likely) some other plugin you have installed.
You can try disabling your active plugins one by one to see if any of them are causing it. You can also try temporarily switching to the Twenty Twenty-Four theme to see if the issue occurs there as well.

In reply to: [Chaplin] Full Site EditingHi @carlbtmn,
Updating Chaplin itself to be a complete block theme wouldn’t be practical, so that’s not in the cards, unfortunately. It would be possible to create a block theme version of Chaplin and release it separately, but I don’t think it’s likely I’ll do that either. It’s more fun for me to build new theme designs than adapt existing ones.

In reply to: [McLuhan] Is it possible to change fonts?Hi @simplepastor,
I’m glad you like them! Unfortunately, most of my classic themes like McLuhan do not support switching fonts out of the box. You might be able to change the font with some sort of plugin, but I don’t know of any such plugins off the top of my head (and haven’t tested any to verify that they work with McLuhan).

In reply to: [Pulitzer] How to make a blog not the homepage?@kobzew Ah, I see. If you go to that page, set “Your homepage displays” to “A static page” and select one page as the “Homepage” and one as “Posts page”, the URL of the page you set as the posts page will be where you can view the blog on the site.

In reply to: [Pulitzer] How to make a blog not the homepage?Hi @kobzew,
It sounds like you want the front page to simply show the blog, same as on the Pulitzer demo site. If so, you should set the “Your homepage displays” option on Settings → Reading to “Your latest posts” (the first option), and you should be all set.

In reply to: [Pulitzer] Grouping ArchiveHi @woltersthijs,
Very happy that you like it!
That’s an old design screenshot that unfortunately snuck itself in with the export. I haven’t found a way to group the posts in the query loop by year in that fashion, so I’m sorry to say there’s no way to recreate it in Pulitzer right now. I hope to find a solution for it at some point in the future.
