We use WP Mail SMTP by WPForms and it’s only working and tested up to:5.4.2.

Huuummm … even with

<IfModule mod_security.c>
SecFilterEngine Off
SecFilterScanPOST Off
</IfModule>

in my .htaccess the issue still remains, and by the way i’m not getting a 404, i’m getting a 403 Forbidden.

Any other “workaround”?
