I had the jumping cursor too, it was driving me crazy… every time i entered a space, or pasted or navigated out of the edit area the text was displayed from the top but the cursor remained in the correct location – i am in IE8. So i set my site to ‘compatibility view’ from IE8 tools menu option and that resolved the problem for me…

I had this problem too, and i fixed it.
I use wordpress in IE8, and by going to the website and selecting IE8 tools option i set the website to compatiblility view – and that resolved the jumping cursor..

I have the same problem, please let me know if you find the solution (also on wp 2.8.1) works fine on 2.8

Well, I would just like to add that i was having the same error, and created a new .htaccess file, which did NOT help. THEN realised i had been using google chrome from where i had not uploaded any images with the flash uploader before, so I switched back to IE and hey presto, the upload is working again.

BTW installing the plugin to fix this problem generated the following message :-
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
REMOVING the .htaccess file created by installing the plugin )from the root directory resolved that error

What is the current status of this issue, Alex? Is this problem still outstanding?. I dont seem to have any of my images indexed either. My nggfunctions.php already has the changes mentioned by alex (thats probably because I have the latest version of nextgen v1.2).

Is it a matter of just waiting until google indexes images, or will i be waiting for ever?

From what i have read activating permalinks has no effect.

Is it just a matter of time, or is nextgen just NOT enabling google to index images in galleries?

I think an update of the status is required here, as there are so many posts to wade through and most are now out of date.

    Many thanks

I have exaclty the same error, when closing the tab after displaying the imageflow. Even if i go to the page with the imageflow and do NOTHING just close the tab i get this error too. I am using IE 7 in the states… Have you found a solution to this ?
