Problem has been solved! It was a plugin. Google Adsense plugin to be specific. Strange that even with the plugin deactivated, Adsense ads are still appearing. Oh well……

So I tried to do a test comment in the “Hello World” post that I automatically got when I started the blog. I attempted this on both Firefox and Chrome. And both times resulted in a blank screen with this URL: https://www.angryretailbanker.com/wp-comments-post.php

I know comments worked back when I had the Twenty Twelve theme or whatever it was. A spam comment got past Akismet and, like a moron, I replied to it thinking it was legit. Everything went through successfully at the time. Now with Genesis, however, I got nothing. And like I said before, I checked in the Discussion section and the comments should be completely enabled. The only “barrier” I have is that a person has to put in a name and email.

Has anybody had this problem in the past? I really have no idea how to fix this.

I checked there. Nothing at all.

It says that comments are automatically deleted from the spam folder after 15 days, but I had someone who tried to comment PM me after the comment didn’t go through to let me know of the issue. I also had the author of an eBook I reviewed try to thank me for the comment and it didn’t go through. He let me know by email the same day that the comment didn’t go through.
