I tried to place it in a page, still didn’t work though.

I updated the plugin to its latest version, and now I can see the stats not just from the backend, but with the widget as well. However, I’m still not able to use it in a shortcode format. I edited the theme file directly and placed this line:
<?php $code = '[visitor-maps]'; echo do_shortcode($code); ?>

But it still didn’t show up. I really don’t understand why doesn’t the shortcode work.

me too, I’m looking to place either the weather information all in Chinese or remove all english strings (speaking of which, does anyone know how to remove the weather description? Such as chance of rain, etc)

Hi,

I thought the plugin is suppose to work like a message board (that’s its name right?) or a guest book where visitors can leave their message. But after a few runs, it seems like it works more like an announcement system? Does the plugin offer 2 way interaction with the visitors?

I just tested by running the shortcode in a post, it didn’t show up either. Right now, I can’t even see the Who’s Online widget, it doesn’t seem to be available.

I understand, but how do I display the posts. I have tried to populate the posts, but where are they shown?

Hi Mike,

I edited the theme directly and used the ‘do_shortcode(‘[visitor-maps]’)’ function to explicitly bring out the shortcode. In this case, could this really be a problem with the theme?

I followed the installation procedure exactly, but the problem is, what’s next? In the installation screen, it keeps mention of a tags blog, but I don’t see any new blogs added or new pages, or new posts. So where is it? Where do I enable the feature? That’s my question.

Anyone? I thought this should be pretty simply, just activate and go, right? Didn’t really seem so now.

I can only get the stats to show only when I use the ‘show stats at blog footer’ option. If I used shortcode at the blog footer, it doesn’t show anything. Why is that?

Hi Daniel,

I didn’t look for a forum plugin because I thought it was way too intense for something this simple. Maybe I do have to resort to modifying the plugin myself. In that case, I was wondering if you can help me with writing the function? You wrote the plugin after all, right? ??

And I did check for the Chinese translation previously, but it’s just a text file with your sample translation, nothing more. I’m translating the mo and po files, I’ll send them to that email as soon as I finished.
