In reply to: Technorati tags and WP 2.0.xI read that wordpress categories would be picked up by technorati. Is that false?

In reply to: Permalink troublesWell, actually… heh… I went into permalinks to get the … oh, nevermind. Long story short, I erased .htaccess and replaced it, and it worked fine. It’s strange, though, because there had been a whole long list of rewrites, and now there are only a few. Confusing.
Anyway, it works now, and UTW pretty urls still don’t work. But that’s ok.
I am *definitely* going to have to learn .htaccess. I will not be its victim anymore! ??

In reply to: Permalink troublesIt’s using Apache 2.0.?. I wasn’t able to confirm the OS, but I think it’s Linux.
In my first message, there were two separate things that happened. First, I couldn’t get pretty URLs to work for UTW’s tags. That, I just gave up on, and let it use ugly ones. So that works.
The second is what matters: when you click on the name of a “page” (rather than a post) on my sidebar, you get the root index.php page, instead of the file (or even the /blog/index.php page).
If you look at https://angelaharms.com/blog , on top of the right-hand sidebar under pages, it says “Test page.” I created that page, and the link appeared on the main blog page, but if you click that link, it delivers a stylesheet-free version of angelaharms.com/index.php rather than angelaharms.com/blog/index.php.
Hope that was clearer. ??

In reply to: Permalink troublesDo I need to include more information? Or is it a dumb question? I’m really stumped here.

In reply to: Urls pretty, but not so brightThank you very much, moshu. The problem was that it contained other things as well, and I couldn’t remember what those were, so I couldn’t rewrite that part. But as you can see it was WAY user error, so it’s solved now. Thanks again.

In reply to: Urls pretty, but not so brightEr, uh… I went looking for the .htaccess and there was nothing there. So I uploaded it, and now it seems to work. Sorry for the false alarm. ??
