In reply to: [qTranslate X] Setting hreflang language localeThanks @gunu, @john Clause: I’ve installed the latest version and it’s outputting nicely, although I’m not sure about that first line affecting SEO as the /en/ directory gets redirected to the root:
<link hreflang=”en” href=”https://example.com/en/” rel=”alternate” />
<link hreflang=”en-au” href=”https://example.com/au/” rel=”alternate” />
<link hreflang=”en-ca” href=”https://example.com/ca/” rel=”alternate” />
<link hreflang=”en-nz” href=”https://example.com/nz/” rel=”alternate” />
<link hreflang=”x-default” href=”https://example.com/” rel=”alternate” />Regardless, this is a great improvement that should help a lot of users looking to use the plugin for localisation so thanks very much for your help with this issue.

In reply to: [qTranslate X] Shared pages at "root" levelMakes sense, however we’re using this plugin for all-English pages but in different locales (AU/US/CA, etc). I know it’s not what the plugin is meant for, but it’s the best solution we’ve found. I’ll copy the content for now. Thank you.

Thanks for your reply.
I followed the above steps and the “show content in an alternative language…” option appears to be working well, however the non-translated pages have the following message appearing at the top. Is there a way to remove this? I’ve checked, but don’t see anything in the settings:
For the sake of viewer convenience, the content is shown below in this site default language. You may click one of the links to switch the site language to another available language.Thanks in advance,

In reply to: [Newsletter Sign-Up] Spam into Mail ChimpHi! Thanks for making this great plugin.
Like Carlos, I’ve enabled double opt-in, but I’m still getting a lot of spam from my list sign-up form.
I can tell they’re spam because they’re coming in with blank values for the First Name and Group fields (and they’re also really “spammy” email addresses with zero opens or click-throughs when I email them)
I’ve got your checkbox enabled on my comment form and that seems to be excluding spam comments (via Akismet), but for my newsletter list signup form (in sidebar widget), I’m getting 5-6 spam emails a day. I guess they’re confirming their subscriptions in the double opt-in emails through some kind of Bot or something?
Is there any way to add a honeypot to the form? I would upgrade to the Pro version to get this feature.
Thanks in advance ??
