In reply to: [Tove] Twentig plugin not supported?Dear Anders,
Quite some time has elapsed and after lengthy support tickets back and forth from the other forum; I am nearing “giving up”.
I am met with a lot of limitations and that sadly no one methodology actually covers all the basics, even in 2022; that I was looking for:
1). Google fonts native support (not limited to just a few selections). I was actually advised by Twentig that including this feature severely impacts performance…is this true..?
2). Twentig options compatibility to add features ~ such as sticky headers.
3). Full Site Editing retained, with future updates moving forward.I am so far have drained away weeks upon weeks; of needless troubleshooting, trial and errors, stagings and so far I am very surprised I am still not able to find a method that at least caters all three above features. Am I really very small set of users who are asking too much? I am really just after yet another “simple” yet diverse liberty of component styling, themes, style-guiding and specifically ~ typography.
Of all dozens of themes I have wasted months of tinkering and trialling in the past, I really wanted your theme to actually succeed to what I think it *should* do as proclaimed ~ “a set of features for modifying the layout, color scheme and typography of sites in the new Site Editor”. Whilst I defenitely see the strengths of your predefined Molecules (as I amcoming from the world of Figma as UX’er), I am yet sadly yet to find a theme or a workflow in WordPress, that can actually caters just the basics of the major three features above.
If you have any thoughts that may help I’d be thankful.
sincerely Andy.
Regards,And another problem – it appears that I have lost all funcitonality of the FSE / full site editing that was once there in Tove theme. But strangely – none that I could do in any WordPress twenty-* themes.
Twenty-twenty-TWO however does retain the FSE. But shockingly limited in terms of Twentig’s customisation options ~ as once again limited to just padding options. No sticky headers etc.
2021 and 2020 appears to allow all the features your plugin correctly advertised. However, now I completely lost the ability to do FSE / full site editing. Activating the Gutenberg plugin doesn’t allow me to even see the FSE features.
All in all, it is disappointing to realise all of these shortcomings and significant compromises. My expectation is that as of WordPress 5.9 onwards full site editing SHOULD have been mainstream, bug-free and ready for mass public use by now. But sadly perhaps this conidence has been overstated.
If you can at least provide a workaround that somehow enables all three features :
1. FSE.
2. All your plugin proclaimed features and
3. Full Google fonts supportThen I believe I can finally commence working on my website.
regards,
Andy.

I have explored through the layout options and it is unfortunately very underwhelming and limited. No sticky headers, nothing else adjustable apart from padding.
So it appears that we are forced to choose the twenty-twenty themes as that brings the features as advertised.
Andy.
Dear Yann,
I am finally able to access the typography and styling panel. After much grief I am supremely surprised there is no warning anywhere on your website, or amidst WordPress promotional landing pages – to DISABLE Gutenberg. Otherwise, new users to your plugin would find same lengthy frustration I have days upon days on end ~ as this is extremely counter intuitive to find ironically, that the Gutenberg and blocks based theme should be natively synergistic.
But not in this case. I highly suggest amending your promotional marketing copy to please warn ALL USERS to disable Gutenberg plugin.
Now, another problem. Is there anyway for Google fonts to be seamlessly supported? Or do I have to yet install another plug in just for this functionality?
Regards,
Andy.- This reply was modified 2 years, 11 months ago by andyw85. Reason: typos
Another set of day(s) has passed.
And I am still unable to access the Typography or Layout.
I have already DISABLED all Elementor / alternative builder plugins.
Surely this isn’t more common? If anyone can help me with this I’d be grateful as I have a project that’s been left needlessly on standby for nearing entire week because of this problem.
One day passed. Just to confirm once again I am still having the same problem ~ clicking on “Typography” or “Layout” under Twentig setting does absolutely nothing.
Am I the only one experiencing this problem?

In reply to: [Tove] Twentig plugin not supported?Hi Anders,
Much appreciated to hear. You are correct. Maybe I should post a thread somewhere in Twentig support forums. Shall do.
Thank you once again meanwhile for providing a aesthetic-centric theme.
