I don’t know if this is still of interest but we’ve just launched a new Pro version of the plugin which has various features including the ability to search within the whole post content. To do this you need to enable the ‘ajax’ option for the table, e.g. [posts_table columns="title,content,date" ajax="true"]

If I select Spanish as my site’s language under Settings -> General, my table displays Spanish for all text including the search box, number of entries, prev/next, etc:

Are you sure the polylang plugin is setting the locale correctly?

You can create a table with posts from a category using the following shortcode:

[posts_data_table category=wanderberichte]

Unfortunately, there’s no way to select posts from a given year (e.g. 2016).

This wasn’t possible in the previous version, but I’ve just uploaded a new version (1.0.3) which adds support for this. If you update the plugin from the WordPress admin, you will be able to add an ‘excerpts’ option to your shortcode. Setting this to false will show the full comments without breaks. E.g.

[better_recent_comments excerpts=false]
