I have the same problem. Both files are there with the right permissions, but when I look at them they are blank.

somewhere was a suggestion to modify php.ini file for it.

there are two lines:

; Increase maximum post size
;post_max_size = 12M

; Increase execution time
;max_execution_time = 300

i tried tons of different numbers and no result.

Any more ideas what to do or an alternative plugin for a sitemap?

there are no such things as unlimited. especially in hosting. I dont believe in such hosts.

dont go with the dreamhost. horrible support.
