Your described workflow is not for everyone. I mean, Microsoft Windows was here way before WordPress, has a market share of 73%, and even its default sorting is alphabetical A->Z, not last created. But even Microsoft gives us the option to sort our folders how we want. I’m pretty sure Mac’s default folder sort is alphabetical A->Z. It’s practically been conditioned.
And the concept behind coding this is so basic I don’t understand why it wasn’t implemented. I’ve written custom tools for Autodesk Maya using Mel and Python, and creating buttons and setting defaults for list sorting is not difficult.
I’m not an affiliate for NinjaTeam, but for a one-time payment of $52 for a lifetime license, FileBird has this feature, whereas you guys charge $49 a year for your monthly basic, which I was more than happy to pay $49 a year before realizing this. I really like the way your plugin looks and some of the extra features you guys have and would have preferred if you guys just had this default sorting option to begin with.
Thank you Mialewp!

For anyone trying to compare Filebird Pro and Premio.io’s Folders like I was….
Premio’s Folders DOES NOT HAVE A WAY TO SET DEFAULT SORT FOR FOLDERS
AND they charge $49 A YEAR?!?! (which I was happy to pay for)
FileBird is ~$50 ONCE, FOR A LIFETIME LICENSE
And Premio’s option is NOT EVEN GOOD for those who plan to have A LOT of folders to organize all their photos for all their variants of their products.
Premio’s engineers know how to code to give you the various options to sort lists…. BUT THEY DON’T CODE IN THE OPTION FOR YOU TO SET THE DEFAULT SORT?!?!?
Absolutely fucking ridiculous.
You’re taught how to do shit like that in Intro to Programming 101.
I bet you could pick up some coding-for-dummies and learn how to do that shit yourself as a middle schooler, let alone a 3rd grader.
So they can’t give you that WHILE WANTING TO CHARGE YOU AT LEAST $49 A YEAR?!?!
No.

And if you were confused about FileBird’s settings…
The “AZ” icon appears to work as a global setting for Default Sort for FOLDERS
But there’s a pop-up settings window to set the global setting for Default Sort for FILESThank you for your reply Anton,
I sent a message via your VCore contact-us form and marked this as resolvedThank you for your reply Anton,
Was able to find the unscaled images by month, replace them, and get everything offloaded and deleted from media library via bulk delete. For my case it was #2
Kindly,
AndrewI’ve been so used to grid view, I forgot about list view, and can sort by name, but luckily I didn’t have to do that (just yet), and just stayed sorted by date and I was able to find problematic images (for whatever reasons, these problematic images weren’t automatically scaled down to 2560, and this was before I made my templates to max at 2560). Luckily I only have ~1,150 images, so it’s not as bad to sift through. But I can only imagine if someone had 10K, 50K, 100K, etc.
Also the logs seem to be delayed, but it does show ID#, but when I search the ID#, nothing returns on media library. I don’t know if that is normal. So maybe it would be nice to add title name as well in the logs?
Still have to fix these problematic images I found to see if anything else will show up.
Nonetheless, I think a Bulk Select option and having the feedback message to return what media file the execution stopped at, and the logs to show title name, would make this plugin more robust!bulk-select offload/restore/remove from cloudflare/delete from wordpress***
Thank you for your reply Anton,
I made a mistake and meant bulk-select* offload/restore
But understood, in regards to the icon ^^
Kindly,
Andrew
