You can structure your template html to add and use the variable {{POSTDESCRIPTION}} before or after the {{POSTIMAGE}} this will give an excerpt from the begining of the post just as you want but the only thing I have found is that you can’t control the character count except length.

Note: the {{POSTIMAGE}} picks up on your featured image in your post and has the post link embedded in it (i.e. onclick)

Then just add your “Read more:” text just before your {{POSTLINK}} too, to give the “more” or “read more” or effect you want aswell as..

Hi Guy’s..

If you are on a Mac (like me) and using excel when you save you CSV file you need to choose the dropdown file type and save the file as a window CSV then it will import.

I had this problem last year and ask the team to update & place and instruction in their documentation especially cover this situation.

Issue now resolved awaiting request outcome from Rocco, see below.

Before you ask, I did all the needful before reverting my Taming “WP Cron” config as listed.

1. Purged all cache.. External CDN including Sitegrounds own internal Super cacher(static/dynamicic & MEMcache)
2. Deactivated all my plugins at once via the bulk process.
3. Carried out point 1 again for good measure, followed by deactivation of the external (Cloudflare) CDN.
4. Retried the activation of the Hueman Pro theme to find that I still had the same issue.
5. Reactivated all my plugins except my WP statistics plugin, as this is rather heavy on my system resources and made my backend dashboard slow as an old dog.
6. Reverted my WP Cron “Taming” config.
7. Tried activating the theme again once the above had been compleated and it activated ok, so I could then initiate and save my subscription key.
8. I have not re-employed my Taming config since and also left my external CDN (Cloudflare) deactivated and what do you know my CPU resource usage has never been lower since I have installed your Pro theme.
9. Our site is now 90% customised just need some CSS tweaks to do which I will need your help with to safely complete without compromising the design files.

So, it looks like I don’t need to use my “WP Cron” taming config (using server cron to run WP cron) as “WP Cron” is behaving itself (as it was being triggered on every little click), perhaps the last 3 WordPress version updates (to v4.94 with 55 ish bug fixes together may have covered my issue).

Anyway all good for now fingers crossed.

I resolved this by extracting what data I had left from the WordPress default library Db to a CSV file. Then deleted the whole existing library and created a new one where the ID table auto increment was reestablished.

I had a lot of processing to do as regards ISBN extraction from the CSV to then concatenate the numbers with a comma to place and re introduce into the new default library via your bulk upload extension.

Lots of work, dropping the ID table and re adding in the hope it will auto increment does not always work. if you know a good method to re-establish the Db ID table to auto increment correctly in the future please let me know.

The Carousel plugin is not working on iPad2 and iPad mini, this issue was never addressed or resolved and I have never received any update from you after purchasing the Carousel plugin..

As far as I can see there is an object initiated in the white space for the short code but it is not displaying the book cover (blank space formed on the home page on the iPad2 & iPad mini) and it is not rotating but I can touch the white space and by chance hit / initiate one of the invisible book cover “html Div” to pop up the iframe with the book view (description & Review etc). Maybe a java or CSS fixed property issue I don’t know?

Most of our community use these devices especially the iPad mini.

We would appreciate your time investigating this to see what you can find out and provide a fix via an update to the purchased Carousel extension.

Finally I have a solution, regards my post Tmptitle issue, so after play and deduction and some reading I disabled native wordpress cron via WP-config and ran it (WP cron) via a server cron task twice per hour thus giving 30mins grace between all tasks to allow all scripts to complete their tasks. Also controlling the heart beat process slowing it just a little. Previously small (200kb or less) posts would publish because they were not impactive but now large impactive posts inject & complete successfully as they take a little more time to complete naturally…. Yeehaw.

However naturally I still resize the images that come in to 600px in width.

This was all to do with inbuilt WP-cron being triggered too many times by any click event on the site backing up the script queue causing them not to complete or time out thus the scripts for the large post would not complete.

So for me the 1min and 5min tasks would never work so I have it scheduled to run every two hours, but this will only initiate when the server cron job initiates the WP-cron as I guess you were using WP inbuilt cron to run your tasks.

This is a great piece of kit with great support.. worth more than 5 stars..

So I was having JSON pop-up message issues e.g. invalid Post / user / capability and more notifications. when trying to run up AAM itself.

Plus most of my plugins had vb script warning messages upon initiation to.
I.E.
Warning:Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in ../../../../AAM/app/core/object/menu.php on line 157

Warning can’t modify header info etc this was at the top of every widget I had running.

After the update.

Anyway carried out a full clean up deleted and reinstalled now all seems fine.

So good call when you stated a corrupt update possibility…

I have managed to find out what the problem is regards carousel rotation (Slide).. For the iPad for some reason the transition “rotateleft” does not work so I used “rotateright” and this is good on all browsers & platforms… Weird unless the iPad needs specific css rules and they are set correctly for right rotation but not for left?

As I don’t know your code maybe you could have a look at the rotateleft JS & css rules / settings to see if anything is different compared to the right transition.

Please let me know your thoughts & what you find on that, I would be most interested?

Interesting, support addon re-installed for good measure.

When running via timer 5mins it fails with content larger than 200kb and the support addon is not triggered capturing nothing and is not swithed off (1 to 0) after the allocated 1 email is processed & deleted with the 5mins cycle process.

its as though the support addon is not being triggered or there is no hook to initiate the support log!

However when running the process via the debug button, it processes the large (4mb) post successfully as normal as we have seen before but this time the support addon runs and sets the counter from 1 to 0 and then saves the zip file to the media library successfully.

So the support addon does work but is not being triggered to collect anything when running automatically via the 5min cycle.

So at what point would the support addon be called or what would make it fall over when run via the 5mins period automatically?

Hope this puts some extra light on the ongoing large post tmptile problem. I sent you the logs when the process ran successfully via the debug manual process so you could see the memory allocation using a post with a 4mb inline image by email because of its size.

So what is difference between the two, when running via the manual debug process and the 5min cycle timer process?

Please let me know what you suggest next as this has taken off for us but I am having a real headache mopping up failed tmptitle posts?
