Problem solved.
I’m ‘an idiot’.
I’d tell you what the error was caused by but I’m not going to publicly embarrass myself.
??
Andrew
ps great plugin.
Hi, the fault remains :(. I carried out the change as described above and know that the file in Google Merchant is the latest feed.
Here is an extract from the file downloaded from your plugin –

<g:title>World Scout Lanyard</g:title>
<g:description>World Scout Lanyard, purple The World Scout Lanyard is great for hanging a whistle, keys or identity card. Often used by a leader, it has the five official World Scout languages printed on the ribbon. The lanyard comes with a safety break, detachable clip and swivel ring. With this added feature you have the flexibility to change the end clip fittings from an ID card to a GPS. The scout purple is a favourite among leaders. The lanyard is 20mm wide.</g:description>

<g:identifier_exists>FALSE</g:identifier_exists> </item>I should of said, It’ll be tonight as it’s a site I run in my spare time for local Scouts to raise funds for them. I’ll update you in the morning.
Thanks for the quick reply.
Each new fetch I create I alter one of my products first (e.g. add a word to the description). I then download the fetched file and look for the additional word, if it is there I know the latest file was used by Google.
I’ll re-run my process i.e.
a) add a word
b) refresh the feed in wordpress, check the output file and confirm the additional word is there.
c) Go to Google Merchant and fetch the latest file, then re-process the file. Check the products list for the additional word and check the product id.You never know it may work this time. If it doesn’t I can send you the relevant files to review.
Fingers crossed!
Having looked at it more I now note that the Primary Feed sends a file to Google Merchant from your plugin with –
<g:id>29583</g:id>, which is what I would expect.
But when I upload the file to Google Merchant, process it in Google Merchant and then download the equivalent file it nows shows the Product id as –
<g:ID>woocommerce_gpf_29583</g:ID>How do I stop Google Merchant from changing how the product id is displayed?
Thanks
