Thank you.
Hopefully the plugin team will turn it around quickly ??
All fixed and now migrating to this plugin for my sites. Amazing fast and efficient support.
Thank you, and excellent support and turnaround for the fix – I have now requested the beta and will mark as closed once I’ve tested it on my site.
Thank you
Could not get it to upload properly, but here is a link to the (partial) screen shot showing the issues

Maybe worth mentioning, this site uses AudioTheme’s Wayfarer theme and also has Elementor (basic) installed and used for many of the pages.

In reply to: [Easy Forms for Mailchimp] Another security risk picked up on 6.9.0Had queried this status of this security issue for 6.9.0 and have just got the following back after a review by PatchStack:
“We still don’t see that the log filename has been secured by adding a sufficient length of random string as the prefix or suffix on version 6.9.0. Additionally, we also recommend to apply .htaccess rule to prevent direct access.”
Can you possibly look into this again please.

I have sent in a report to patchstack about their current entry about this WordPress Easy Forms for Mailchimp plugin <= 6.9.0 – Sensitive Data Exposure via Log File vulnerability – Patchstack to get the status updated to reflect the fix.

In reply to: [Easy Forms for Mailchimp] This plugin has been closed as of Dec15???+1. I have spent a number of days looking at alternatives that are either free or low cost (for my one site), and NONE of them provide the simplicity with completeness of standard workflow of this plugin, together with the easy and mobile friendly support for side-by-side fields to be used in a footer.
Given the Knowledgebase https://codeparrots.com/support/knowledge-base/product/easy-forms-for-mailchimp/ seems to have dissappeared from your website, I am worried that it has been discontinued completely now.
Please can you at least update us as to whether this is being actively looked at and is likely to be resolved, or if it is now being deprecated as a product.
Thank you @eherman24 – I did look at alternatives but did not find anything that was so perfect for my simple needs, so really glad I can keep on using this —- and it really is a great plugin!
Thank you – I had looked at others, but could not found any as simple and perfect for what I wanted, so I’m really glad you’ve been able to fix this (and sorry if I’ve/we’ve gone on about it repeatedly).
@waterfire have you seen any response from Evan on Slack. I’ve not had anything back from @eherman24? so far – not looking good, and starting to feel like abandonware, which is a shame.
I have also sent a contact form to @eherman24 on Monday 22nd May and still have not seen/heard any confirmation that there will be a fix.
This plugin is shown as an active plugin on his website https://www.evan-herman.com/wordpress-plugin/easy-mailchimp-forms/ although the copyright notice “? 2013-2016 EH Dev Shop”, the lack of a specific support channel for it on his site is also a concern and his apparent lack of activity for nearly 2 months is all concerning.
When does one decide that a plugin is abandoned and needs to be replaced? And has anyone got a recommended way to migrate this to MC4WP (which seems to be the best alternative) with all the ease and useful features that this has compared with the relative complexity of MC4WP?
