If you grab hold of the window and make it as narrow as possible, you will see the top image changes size to adapt to the size of the window but the lower image does not

The two images are exactly the same but the only difference is that the lower image is inserted into a table

Does this make it clearer to you?

I am pretty much a beginner at this so it may be that the solution is obvious to you but mysterious to me!

This is what it looks like to me when it is working OK – the letters are green but the background is pale blue
Then, if you click on it and return (using the browser back button) the background remains dark blue – you can hover over another title (in this case “Garden Link”) and that goes dark blue as well – see:

I am using collapse-o-matic plugin

I have not explicitly put the spaces in between the first level entries and I cannot get rid of them.
I think it is something in collapse-o-matic that is doing this

I do not know how to do either of these two things

Try making you image 1038 bytes wide – I am not sure the height matters but it might do – I think you have to play around with it
I used an image 1037 × 296
This is not a very clever solution but it worked for me

I changed the default tag attribute to div in the plugin’s settings page
It works better now but I have 2 blank lines under each level 1 item
I would prefer not to have them – is this possible?
