Thanks for the reply, Shawn! The problem is (was) that I have a zillion blog posts already, and I had no clue which ones were causing the problem. But I hunted them down. I opened the XML file and was able to figure out which three posts it included — the legit podcast post and two older posts that happened to link to mp3 files.
As those posts were old, I simply unlinked the mp3s and the problem went away. (I didn’t realize I could have used Podcast Episode box to remove the post, but now I do.)
Side note: I set PowerPress to only use posts in the “podcast” category for its feed, but for some reason it grabbed those two older ones. Since then it’s been fine, though.)
Again, thanks for your help!
Ha! Figured it out. I don’t know why it happened, but uninstalling, cleaning the database, and reinstalling did the trick. Thanks again for the quick responses!
I’ll check my version to be sure, and I’m also going to check to see if maybe one of my browser privacy plugins is affecting it.
I notice that the FileBird settings page has this text on the top:
$tabs = apply_filters('fbv_settings_tabs', $tabs);
That makes me think there’s an issue with the installation. Thanks for the quick reply!

In reply to: [XPoster - Share to Bluesky and Mastodon] Will the plugin use my excerpt?Well look at that — I tested it and it did indeed use my custom excerpt instead of the first X characters. Excellent! Buying the pro version now!

In reply to: [The Events Calendar Shortcode & Block] I can’t seem to change the “Message”HA! Solved it! Apparently the apostrophe in the message was causing the problem. I changed my shortcode to this (using double-quotes instead) and it works:
[ecs-list-events cat=’wednesday’ limit=’999′ excerpt=’600′ contentorder=’title, date’ message=”We haven’t added this listing yet. Stay tuned!”]
I guess I’ll leave this here in case anyone else who likes to use contractions has the same issue. Sorry to bug you!

In reply to: URLs with query strings are generating 404sThank you very much for your help! The MailChimp folks are looking into it now. Eventually I’ll get this sorted out!

In reply to: URLs with query strings are generating 404sYou are correct that I used a custom template, but I used the link checker. In the checker, it shows my ‘clean’ links and they work fine.
But for some reason, MailChimp is adding those trackers even though I don’t have Google Analytics… which now tells me it’s a MailChimp issue, not a WordPress issue.

In reply to: URLs with query strings are generating 404sI just verified. MailChimp is just pulling my RSS feed to make the mail. I looked at the feed, and the links there are ‘plain’ — no utm_ code in it at all.

In reply to: URLs with query strings are generating 404sHa! I’m not! The URL I give MailChimp is clean — no utm at all. For example, https://www.sofi.com/gpha. MailChimp adds the Analytics code (the utm etc.).
I figured that my site — or the sofi.com site — should just ignore that, rather than deliver a 404 error.
(Does that make sense?)

In reply to: URLs with query strings are generating 404sThank you — I checked that out, but unfortunately it didn’t help. It seems to apply only if Google Analytics is being used. (We don’t use it.)
