    That’s weird.

Here’s a direct link to the test page: https://www.consumertipster.com/store-xyz/

Here’s a couple of screenshots of what I see when I’m logged in, which looks right:

Here’s a screenshot of what I see when I’m logged out, which shows the problem I see:

Do you see how all three Criteria fields reappear?

    Okay, sounds good! Thank you.

Um. I see a review in the admin dashboard titled ‘Here’s a title’ with ‘How about that review!’ in the body. Post author: EWD and Product name: Test Product. When I go all the way to the bottom, there’s another field that says Author with my username.

    Hey,

Thanks for your quick reply. Wasn’t expecting that, lol.

I reenabled the plugin right now if you want to take a look. I’m still trying out other plugins for different things right now.

If you’re looking for user input, I don’t mind sharing ?? . Other things I thought of that would be great for a review plugin were: limiting the amount of reviews per username/IP/cookie; when account is deleted, the review gets deleted, too; and only allowing logged in users to post.

Thanks for getting back to me quickly.

Thank you so, so much! I’m really sorry for the bother. I really appreciate your support.

Yeah, I do need Ultimate Member as well as part of the site. Both are important. Ultimate Member and the default WP function does work. The default WP comment function doesn’t apply the photo to the new account and deleted account. It’s only when I enable wpDiscuz. Is there a code or something that I could apply that allows the default WP comment function to occur instead?

Thanks again for all your help! I really appreciate it.

    Hi, again!

Thanks for your really prompt reply. I appreciate it!

I’ve had Gravatar disabled. I’m using the Ultimate Member plugin where users can upload their own photo, so I just uploaded a random photo. I updated the plugin right now and I deleted the cache the Ultimate Member stores.

I didn’t post as a guest. I created an account with [email protected] and made a post. Then I deleted the account. I created a new account with the same email address [email protected], uploaded a photo, and made another post.

The new account with the uploaded is now sharing the photo with the deleted account. The default WP comments doesn’t share the photo with the deleted account (even though they both have the same email address). When I activate wpDiscuz, the new account shares the photo with the deleted account.

Is there a way to keep the WP function for this? This is the perfect plugin for me. I’m sorry for the trouble ??

Sorry, I know it’s very confusing. The difference I wanted to point out was the third comment in the screenshots. When you look at the first screenshot with wpDiscuz deactivated, the active account only has the profile pic.

When you look at the second screenshot with wpDiscuz reactivated, both the active account and the deleted account (using the same email address) both have that same profile pic.

It’s as if wpDiscuz is picking back up the deleted account’s email address and sharing the profile pic with the active account and deleted account, but default WordPress comments doesn’t pick back up the deleted account’s email address.

I tried demo-ing it on a different site I’ll be working on later, but you can like resize the window between desktop and mobile a few times, and it works? I disabled the plugin and tried it, and it works. I remember someone asked the theme developer about collapsing child menu items, and he said that a customizer would have to do that because there’s a lot of interlinking things (my interpretation. clearly. lol.) or redirects? I don’t know if that helps explain that if menus are auto-collapsed that this resizing window making menu items unclickable without a refresh inevitable.

    It’s weird.

Anyway! Thank you so much for all your help!

    (@andrewf12)

Yeah, that option was disabled. ??

    Thread Starter andrewf12

    (@andrewf12)

Yeah, lol. The code does work when the other plugins are disabled, so there’s definitely another plugin that doesn’t like this one, which I now have to try to figure out or opt for a different review plugin. I almost like that last option more now because most of the other plugins I need, too, so I’ll if it’s a very important plugin, I’m just going to look for a different review plugin.

Thanks so much, bcworkz!! That helps me out a lot! ??

    (@andrewf12)

Oh, wow. You posted the code already before I posted my reply. That worked! Yay! I’m so happy. lol. Thanks!

So just playing with the site, and when I’m on the computer and I happen to drag the screen from desktop to mobile or mobile to desktop, the parent menu items with child menu items become unresponsive unless the page gets refreshed. That’s fine though because I don’t think people are going to do that and there’s no option on my page to switch from mobile to desktop or vice versa, so I can’t see that being an issue for users.

I love it. Thanks a bunch! That was a huge hurdle for me. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

    Thread Starter andrewf12

    (@andrewf12)

lol. That’s okay! No rush! You already solved a really big problem for me and helped me out a lot, so thank you!

    (@andrewf12)

Lol. It does have the option to use Footer instead. I’m going to do that right now. Thanks!

BTW, I was just playing with the desktop version of the site trying to understand a different plugin, and I noticed that the desktop version primary menu is acting like the mobile site menus? Like, for the desktop, instead of hovering over a parent menu and the child menu appears and the ‘sub-child’ menu appears, I have to click on the parent menu first, then the child menu after, and then that menu works where I can just hover and display the menu items. As soon as I refresh the page, I have to click through first and then it becomes ‘hoverable.’ I don’t mean to be picky. I’m just wondering if you know what I can do to the code while I have you online lol ??

    Many thanks!
