  • I’m sorry. I’m a little dense. : )

I’ve created my event. I’ve placed shortcode on a page and indicated the url of that page in my sidebar widget, but I’m not getting the results I’m looking for. Maybe I’m not using the right combination of shortcodes. What I want to do is make it so a user can click the Event title link in the sidebar and be taken to that event page. Currently I’m being taken to the EventList page where I can see past and upcoming events. Do I have the correct page url in my widget? It seems no matter which event the user clicks in the sidebar they are taken to a page with a list of events on it where they have to again click on the event from the list. Too many clicks. I want a direct connection. Help!

Thanks, Eric. Where is the theme directory you’re referring to? Do I access that through the FTP or is it accessed in the WP application in the theme editor?

    Hi, Eric.

I’m experiencing the exact same issue Tronkin had in the very top of this thread. I want to remove the ““Posted in [category] | Comments [on/off]” that automatically follows the snippet from the post article. It seems Tronkin understood your direction from the FAQ page, but I am not a coder and need more dumbed down explanation of how to accomplish this. Can you help me out? Thanks.

    Andre
