Hi @misulicus
Thank you so much for your quick reply and explanation, I understand, that makes sense.
Have a great day!
Hi @misulicus
Thank you so much for your answer. I understand, however I feel like showing the customer one currency on the sales page and then switching their cart to another currency with no explanation would just confuse and irritate them. That’s why I thought a custom message allowing the user to switch currency when they try to purchase (and fail) would have been very useful.
I will try to use the function you suggested to trigger the currency change and if that happens then perhaps show a message at the top telling them the currency was forcefully changed.
Thanks again for looking into this!
Hi @webzunft
thank you so much for your answer. Yes, there is another custom dynamic app active that I have made myself, but it’s set up the same as EDD HelpScout.
EDD HelpScout is set up as a custom dynamic app, that’s how it’s connected to HelpScout itself, right? Please correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m looking at the installation instructions on the plugin page and there’s a step for setting it up on HelpScout as a custom dynamic app.
As you can see in their documentation, they recommend migrating all custom apps: https://developer.helpscout.com/apps/guides/migrating-legacy-dynamic-apps/
HelpScout seems to want to move to React, as seen here for example: https://developer.helpscout.com/apps/guides/getting-data-from-help-scout/ , which potentially means the current PHP structure won’t work anymore.
I found this page https://developer.helpscout.com/custom-apps/ where they say that legacy apps will continue to function, however their email indicates that at some point they might not function anymore. And it also seems to require a special request to continue using the legacy framework.
I’m sorry if this doesn’t affect your plugin, I just want to make sure that’s the case. Your plugin is amazing and we’re relying on it to help our customer support. I hope HelpScout will announce a more exact date on when they’ll retire custom apps and I would like to try to avoid any disruptions, so that’s why I came to you with the question.
Again, thank you so much for your time and I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts about this.
Hi @rsterry48 , did you get an answer after all about this? I’d also be interested in knowing if there’s a fix/solution for this issue.
Hi @riccardoraneri , is this issue resolved for you? I’m facing a similar issue with some of my custom fields. Let me know if you found a fix for this. Thanks!
Hey @htmgarcia
Awesome, I just updated to 2.7.1 and the problem is fixed. Thanks for looking into this so fast!
Hi @htmgarcia
I’m having the same issue(same block, same line), but my site is using Easy Digital Downloads, not WooCommerce. The error does not appear when I try to edit Posts or other custom post types, only on the Downloads (the EDD custom post type).
Should I also report it through the support link above? Would Info from a localhost environment be good?
Thank you!
Hi @htmgarcia ,
Thanks for the extremely fast response and update, that was amazing! I can confirm the issue is now resolved.
