In reply to: [Disable Bloat for WordPress & WooCommerce] Scheduled ActionsWell, whether Action Scheduler is running or not wasn’t exactly my question.
Good news: I installed this plugin before updating to WC 4. This has prevented the creation of tens of thousands of scheduled tasks, which seem to be related to the import of historical data.
Using the manual method via the “import historical data” button in WC 4 settings doesn’t seem to reliably prevent this behaviour.
Action scheduler and WP-Cron are working as they should (just without the massive amount of tasks).

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Woocommerce – Scheduled ActionsWP cron jobs are “firing” perfectly, completed and total tasks are increasing, pending tasks are at 3785 and not decreasing, which is probably the maximum number, the queue is able to display.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Woocommerce – Scheduled ActionsO.K. So dear “Automattic Happiness Engineer”, I am sure you can give me advice on this: I am at over 40.000 “scheduled actions” right now and still going up.
What you are trying to tell me is that I can’t upgrade to Woocommerce 4.x?
Why?
These scheduled actions would slow down my shop for weeks, and probably are going to cause various problems for the live shop (for example because new scheduled actions are not processed) as well as for my relationship to my webhoster, who will likely suspect I had been hacked because of the sudden and constant high loads.
So what I am getting right now, is that an “Automattic Happiness Engineer” is recommending me, that I shouldn’t be using Woocommerce because it’s not suited for people who actually use their webshop to sell stuff (shocking, I know!) and therefore have an order history, but more for people who like fancy colors and graphs.
The general vibe I am getting from WordPress lately is they don’t care about existing users and are just interesting in attracting new and lets call them “innocent” users, who don’t know better. Am I right or am I right?
On topic: HOW DO I FIX THIS MESS? Asap!
The answer is: Woocommerce 4.x is a piece of s…oftware and should never have been released in this state.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Woocommerce – Scheduled ActionsLucky you, I have 2.455 pages and over 24.500 tasks (and counting!).
Thank god I am just testing on my own local Woocommerce installation (xampp) right now, a real shared webhoster would probably think I had been hacked and deny access.
Who decided to release this…? Are they for real? What is this?

In reply to: [amr ical events lists] Some strange links appearing atop contentSame here, since the last update of this plugin a text appears on top of page, where the calendar is displayed, like this:
link=https://current-page.com/?listtype=1 with spechail chars: https://current-page.com/?listtype=1
This happens when using shortcodes
show_month_nav=1
or
month_year_dropdown=1When setting shortcodes to 0 (zero), the message goes away.
My guess is this problem occurs because of the language settings of a website, specifically if names of months contain non-english characters.

Thanks, it works, some feedback:
? Images are displayed ordered by upload date (latest first), would be nice to be able to control the order, like ascending/descending by date/name …
? Use milliseconds (instead of seconds) to fine-tune autoplay as well as transition speed.
? Custom links don’t work (I use ARI Fancybox to open, it works with previous slider).
? Animation after the last image. The slider kind of scrolls back to the left, instead of continuing to the right with the first picture.
When you enable the following feature Enable Basic Firewall Protection: located in WP Security -> Firewall -> Basic Firewall Rules, we added a More Info link to let the user know what will be included when it is activated. This link states the following.
Thanks, perhaps you could add a link to the documentation, like: “Here is how you can adapt these rules”
https://mbrsolution.com/wordpress/all-in-one-wp-security-firewall-custom-rules.phpAlso some information on the differences between WordPress’ own upload limit and a limit in htaccess would be nice.
The owner of server must set the max filesize of Upload, he probably knows how much is secure to set… RAW files from camera is 3x bigger than 10MB, this is joke…
Well, a security plugin is usually aimed at people who do not exactly know how to harden security manually. You can put “LimitRequestBody 102400000” in “Custom Rules” to set the limit to 100 MB.
However I do agree that it would be nice to be able to set this limit yourself (with 10 MB being the recommended default).
You missed the point spectacularly.
1) How do I know if I want this rule, if I do not know it exists unless I dig around in htaccess after the fact. Which is not why you want to have the convenience of a security plugin.
2) I CAN NOT “pick and choose” – exactly because there is just the one switch. The alert box above it does neither say what it does nor is there a link to any documentation.
So yeah, by your own admission, my assertion has been confirmed in its entirety.
Same problem here. I had to do quite the research, including bothering my webhoster, before I noticed that it was AIOWPS, that sets a 10 MB limit on uploads.
As far as I can see this is not mentioned in aiowps-dashboard and certainly not in the “alert box” of the firewall rules.
So please either mention what these rules do in more detail (at least put a link to the documentation) or preferably provide an option to set the “LimitRequestBody” somewhere in the dashboard, as @18tommyboy suggested.

In reply to: [WP Cerber Security, Anti-spam & Malware Scan] No spam protection at allAs far as I can see, “WP Cerber” does not protect Contact Form 7 (would be nice to have though).
However Contact Form 7 has integrated support for reCaptcha. Look here: https://contactform7.com/recaptcha/

In reply to: [EWWW Image Optimizer] Folder optimization on multisiteSorry for the late reply. Yes, if site-admins could just be allowed to optimize files within their own upload directory, this would help a lot.
Thanks, that’s nice to hear!
