Since you have asked in the previous email, whether there are permalinks to the original person who has asked you, I thought it will be relevant here. No, I do not have permalinks on the install when I reported this few minutes before. Is it a permalinks issue?
Hello,
I can confirm that the search option is broken.
I am providing a link to the zip file containing 13 screenshots, showing different aspects here Screenshot Zip File on Google drive
All the files have been named to convey the meaning.Brief steps overview :-
1. I have used WP 4.1.1, Twenty Fifteen Theme. Localhost installation with MAMP latest version.
2. Created one post having the content “The quick brown fox jumped over a lazy dog”. I thought I will use this to test the theme’s search widget itself and see whether it can list content of a post and whether it can list a Member’s detail.
3. Created one page to place the directory shortcode.
4. No other plugins except UM.
5. Created 4 users with first and last names etc.
6. Enabled the Search option in the directory, with first name only as a searchable field.
7. Placed the short code for the directory in the single page created in step 3.
8. Launched the site from the dashboard.
9. Proceeded to the directory page
10.It listed all users
11. I searched for a first name exactly from the directory
12. It returns the Sorry message
13. The I tried in Theme’s search widget. That too returns Not Found message
14. To verify if search widget is working, I searched for “quick” from the theme’s search widget and immediately the correct search result pops up.Hope I am providing enough information for you to reproduce the bug. If there is anything more you needed, I will be glad to provide.
I am marking this resolved, even though I have used labels, it still is a valid solution. The remaining is a feature request. And everyday I see a new version with updates, shows the commitment. I love the plugin. Great job guys.

In reply to: [teachPress] Static prefixes for multisite installSpell check ate my words, it is not “forrest way”, it should be “correct way”.
Thanks for very quick responses.
Yes, the reason for not using the reveal section is simply because of the nature of problem I have in my hand and as you mentioned, my inexperience with this plugin figuring where is what.I wanted to display
Phone Extension – Four Digits (5441 for example)
Room Number – Also in this case is 4 digits (1010)
in the directory view also.I went through all the options, used a custom text field with label “Location” with value “Room 1010”, with “Room ” being the placeholder and chose an icon from the list. This shows well in the directory in the reveal panel and also on the individual profile. For the phone, I created a custom field “Phone” with value “Extn 5441” and phone icon. Without the labels incorporated in the value of the fields, it is hard to make out in the reveal panel, as it does not use the icons as well. If one uses a field named “Phone” and uses a text “Phone 5441”, it looks okay in the directory, but the word Phone repeats in the profile view. Hence, one needs to choose proper field values and names here. Nevertheless, for now, I am very happy with this.
I agree with your design that the reveal section be used only when the viewer wants more information about someone. The idea is just sinking in and makes total sense, instead of a giant list with pointless details for a viewer.
Is there a way to show these icons like “phone icon” or “briefcase icon” instead of field label in the reveal panel? I think this option could be worthy.
