In reply to: [Customizr] menus top level not working with subpagesThis is an annoyance. I solved it by repeating the same page as a sub-page in the menu.

In reply to: [Customizr] SEO Customizr theme? Some things need to be edited manually. Yoast SEO, for example, does not fix the theme’s SEO shortcomings, e.g.
- Multiple H1s by default
- Once you remove the logo’s H1, the home page gets no H1
- Repeated tagline
- I think that article-content.php also needs an edit to adjust the heading levels
- Similarly, tc_voila_slider.php, content-page.php and nav.php
I can’t recall if I listed all of them. Use a tool such as the Web Developer toolbar for Firefox and its Information > Document Outline option to see these headings on a given page.

In reply to: [Facebook Comments] [Plugin: Facebook Comments] Not working in IEWordbooker conflicts with this plugin as it is another Facebook plugin. I had forgotten it was installed, so removing it did the trick.
I subscribed to the Premium support, which answered my question. ??
Is this feature in version 2.2.3?

In reply to: [SimpleMap Store Locator] Not returning any results to any searchAnother thing to consider – similar activated plugins might conflict. I had MapPress, Store Locator, and ZeeMaps all activated. I turned them off and SimpleMap no longer gave that “Not Found” cryptic error.
I am using the latest Thesis theme on two blogs on the same server. Both use the default template. Same settings for the plugin. The SI CAPTCHA plugin works on one fine (https://www.netmagellan.com/contact) but not on the other (https://www.guptill.info/contact/). No code in the custom files regarding the form.
The plugin is touted as being used by all the great sites in the world, but this setting has stumped me. It doesn’t make sense to me. Like the OP, I believe that a check box should be used to Enable something, not a double negative. The Enable button up there seems to enable Preview mode. Selecting that box also selects CDN, which throws up an error, since the field isn’t populated – I don’t use a CDN.

In reply to: images won’t show without cpanel loginI too experienced this this yesterday. I had enabled cPanel Hotlink Protection about two weeks ago, so something else had created this problem. Anyway, this is only meant to block access to third-party sites who use your images, not the owner’s Firefox 3.6.8 browser.
I could view the site images with IE or Chrome, just not with FF. I reinstalled FF but no improvement.
By disabling hotlink protection, FF can view images again. There is some connection but I’d love to know what is the main reason.

In reply to: Add date and author’s nameI’d like to add the author’s Name, not Username. Those are the labels used in the User dialog.
e.g. If Joe Blow is the Name and joe1982 is his Username, the_author displays joe1982 which is not very useful. Is there any way to show his Name? I have a site with several contributing authors, so showing their real names with the post is better than revealing their login names.

In reply to: can’t loginSame error for me overnight.
I modified functions.php as above but I am still being taken back to the login screen. What else can I try?

In reply to: WP Mobile automatic upgrade installation errorThe above comments won’t help someone today, as version numbers have changed. The plugin is now at 3.0.5.
I had used the automatic upgrade, which the README mentions does not work. This is fine, but when one has 10+ plugins and doesn’t grok WordPress day in and day out, it is easy to forget which plugins don’t upgrade automatically.
For a start, the carrington-mobile version is now 1.0.2 and the automatic upgrade just drops it in the plugins folder. You need to move it, i.e. rename it within the FTP program to ../../themes/carrington-mobile-1.0.2 and the problem is solved.
