In reply to: Old version of SQL and and possible WordPress updateThanks for the response. However, my problem isn’t that WP 1.5.2 doesn’t work with MySQL 5, it’s that my WP apparently uses MySQL 4, and my host’s servers don’t support MySQL 4 anymore…only 5.
Thanks!

In reply to: Where is the blog when using Static Front Page?Denis, thanks, but I’m not sure you understand precisely what we want. Or if you do, I don’t see a fix for it on your FAQ page. In this blog/ directory that your FAQ says to create, I don’t want just the titles of the posts; I want the blog home page there, just as if I had installed WordPress in a blog subdirectory. Is your static front page able to accomplish this?
I hope this makes sense. Thanks.

In reply to: Where is the blog when using Static Front Page? Thanks, but my goal isn’t just to have the latest posts on my home page; it’s to have a home page (with some introductory nonsense but no blog posts), and then have a link to where the actual blog is.

In reply to: Location of PagesKaat, you’ve got it down, except I’d like one more thing…which is to create WordPress Pages and have them at https://mydomain.com/Page, instead of https://mydomain.com/blog/Page (which is how it would appear if wp was installed in /blog).
I hope this made sense. Thanks.

In reply to: Problems with modifying “Blog address (URI)”OK, but then how do I get my weblog into runningboard.org/blog ?
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Problems with modifying “Blog address (URI)”The WP files are in the root directory, and I think I need to keep it that way so that when I create Pages in the future, they will be at https://runningboard.org/page (which is what I want), as opposed to https://runningboard.org/blog/page
If I move all my files to /blog and then set both values to /blog, I don’t think I can accomplish that…right?
Thanks.

In reply to: Location of PagesThanks. Maybe I should be going about this differently. What I really want to do is have a static page on https://mydomain.com and then mydomain.com/blog (with the weblog) and mydomain.com/section1, mydomain.com/section2, etc. Can anyone recommend a solution?
Thanks in advance.
