In reply to: email not being sent when adding a new userI don’t think that is the problem. I tried editing a user account and when I clicked the “generate password” button next to new password, an email was sent to the user notifying them their password had been changed. So it seems to send email fine, just not when I create the new user account. That invitation email never gets sent.

In reply to: [Pure & Simple] How do I change font colors?I figured it out. I was thinking too much like a programmer and failed to use the theme customization widget inside the dashboard. Sorry everyone.

In reply to: Update WordPress Database loop after updating to version 4.2.2I contacted my hosting provider, Media Temple, and the server https://www.momitforward.com is using does not have a Redis or Memcached or APC cache. This was their answer, “So far I don’t see any indication that this server has those caching plugins installed.”
What else can I do to fix this?

In reply to: Update WordPress Database loop after updating to version 4.2.2I saw that article in my searching, thanks, but it doesn’t say in what file/where to write the code “to directly run SQL lines.” Nor does it explain how to run a “DB optimize.” I’m not meaning to be a pain, but that is why in my question I asked for step-by-step instructions. I’m a newbie and clueless about WordPress. I simply can’t figure this out on my own and I have spent hours trying to. My apologies for not knowing what to do and being clueless about WordPress. Thank you for your time @james Huff.

In reply to: Database Update Required after upgrading to 4.2.2@gabrielperezs my client also uses (mt) Media Temple as their host and so I’m in the same situation as Tanya with this error. Thank you for the explanation of the loop being a bug in the update code itself.
I’m not a programmer by any means, just trying to help resolve this issue on the website I help with. My question is where inside my website’s folders do I put the file you provided in the link?
By the way, the front end of the website is working just fine. https://momitforward.com/
Thanks paulwpxp!! That code was exactly what I needed to fix it.
Using the Widget Only template did the trick. I appreciate the extra CSS tip as well.
