Hi leejosepho – thanks for the reply, it’s much appreciate; however I’m afraid I don’t think I made myself entirely clear so I might have caused some confusion.
I already own the domain through 123-Reg, and I’ve been using this as my WP.com’s primary domain name for a number of months, using the steps that you linked to.
The issue I’m running into is that I’ve bought WP.org hosting through 123-Reg. I clicked the WP Install script in the site’s control panel, and it installed, and I’ve chosen my domain in the dropdown box against it – the one I’ve been using up until this point for the WP.com blog. However, when I go to the site, it’s still the WP.com blog, which I don’t want anymore – I’d like a fresh new WP.org blog to upload my new site design to.
