That fix, changing removeAttribute to removeProperty, works for me too. I’ve had to apply that fix every update for the past year or so. I’m surprised the authors haven’t fixed it in the core yet after all this time

Thank you. One additional item to add to your list of things to fix is how “orphaned” or empty list items are created in each category’s “ReOrder Post Within Categories” interface. If a post is placed in draft or scheduled status and then is changed back to published, an empty (draggable) list item appears in that category’s sortable interface, and will remain there. In one category, for example, about 10 empty list items have accumulated, mixed in with the list of real posts.

I can confirm the odd behavior a recent reviewer wrote about – as I experienced the same exact thing. To finally get queries to work again, after re-installing I had to go through every single category and select “No” for “Use the manual sorting for this category?” and then select “Yes” again.
Hopefully these issues can be fixed with the next release as I’m nervous about using this plugin now.

Thanks for your response — I just want to be sure you read my full post – that I fully uninstalled and then re-installed the plugin and it doesn’t work. You’re saying once the plugin is deactivated it can never be used again? Is there no way to trick it into thinking it was never installed before?

I really would like this plugin to succeed because it’s providing a solution I haven’t been able to find from any other plugin. To give it the best chance to succeed, please ask the devs to update the version found in the wp repository to the latest. Right now it’s 1.5, as opposed to 1.6 on github. There’s a significant difference between the two versions. And, have them merge the pull request by rianbotha as that is essential to work with wp 4.7

that’s the first thing I did but it wasn’t working. I have since learned that this plugin is old and incomplete and doesn’t work correctly if it’s installed via the admin plugins page, but the version on github is the latest version, which I have now installed and everything works. That cost me about 3 hours of frustration but at least I can get on with development now.
