  • I have the same issue as Siwhyatt. And yes when the person ticks the box Mailchimp does see them as subscribed not merely eligible for transactional emails. However, the separate GDPR field “Opted-In” within a user record remains unchecked / false. And this would seem to be the reason the system will therefore not send out the automated emails we have programmed to go out to subscribers purhcasing certain products with a follow up series based on a timer. We really want a solution for this or figure out a solution in-house without our limited programming skills. We wonder if it could be achieved by adding custom fields to checkout. Or hidden fields, that have the Opted-In field marked true so it overwrites it mailchimp side in the sync. And while you at it, you could leverage such functionality to allow passing of information to place subscribers in groups without them having to have any more boxes to tick – another issue we would need to manage manually at the moment, which is addressed this way by other signup plugins. The plugin does 95% of what we need and it is great. This would seem to be a critical feature for compliance in the EU for your plugin. Can you advise of a timescale on a fix, advise on how we might fix using my suggested approach, or confirm if we should now hire a developer. My client has a product to launch that relies on automation and it we are now passed the launch date.

Update. I found I could get it working deleting all the admin / per page settings and turning that feature off althoguh I not sure that was necessary. Then doing everything through plugin filters, which now I prefer as I can see all my setting on one page easy. I also found a cache issue that was resolved if I disabled plugin organizer plugin. CLeared my autoptimise and SG cache caches, then re-enabled the plugin. I suspect it was all about the cache and I got the site doing and have managed to get us a much better load speed what I want so all good here. Great plugin, thanks!

I am having a similar issue and have a staging site you can play with. I plugin and theme tested with no joy. Now it not seem to remember any settings including on global page. Tried deleting MU file and database table to reset no joy.
